Timing for me was terrible. I took a gap year after my associates, I transferred to a 4-year college and its true a university is tougher than community college. I hope others can relate but online learning was miserable in terms of classes with lab. I barely scraped by with a B- in orgo 1 and that was telling of how orgo 2 was going to go and I got a C. I failed to build a foundation and so when classes went back to in-person biochem destroyed the living shit out of me..I got a C also. This and being diagnosed with Meniere's disease in 2021 completely destroyed my grades. For those who still have a chance, do your best and live the dream that I could not accomplish.

Can you explain what makes a university “harder” than a CC, is it the rigor that’s increased ? Or is it anything else ?

@@plutobaby9996 sometimes university can be easier than cc, and other times cc can be harder than university. i think most subjects are easy to moderate, but most professors aren't trained to be teachers, so they are the ones making things hard, plus they have arbitrary timelines/deadlines for way too much material. but to answer your question, it's not really the rigor, it's more so the topics a cc may cover, compared to what a university may cover. a cc may put more focus on nomenclature in ochem, while a university may put more focus on mechanisms.

Why are you giving up? You aren't out of the game until you quit. If you are happy doing something else than fine, but don't think that "you don't have a chance."

I needed this. Got C+s in my first and second year but i was doing good all throughout until family passed away which halted my finals. Good to know i can just do good later on

Here comes all of the comments saying that grades shouldn’t matter and don’t contribute to being an effective doctor. If only.

DO schools have grade replacement, so retaking C grades can be helpful

You could retake C- during the semester and update the schools

I would suggest just reviewing the concepts in your own time to catch up and moving on with the other courses.
