What do YOU have in common with an Electric Eel?

Electric Eels can be pretty shocking!
But we produce shocks as well! Little jolts of electricity control all sorts of important jobs in our body - from helping our hearts beat to moving our body! The electric eel just supersized the current!

Sharks and stingrays also have the ability to sense this electricity, along with a few other fish like knifefish (which electric eels are) and elephantnose fish, which they use to find food that's otherwise undetectable The latter two (I don't think sharks and rays do this) also have electric-generating organ that projects an electric field around themselves, along them to navigate the dark murky waters they live in

Yeah electric eels probably used/use it for the same reason as as other fish and then evolved to use it as a weapon
