I have been in and out of church most of my life. I’ve had times where I’ve felt so close to God that I KNEW he was there and I KNEW he was guiding my steps and that he had a plan for me. I’ve also had times where I let the “pain” take over and instead of trusting in him, I snatched control back and said to myself, “this hurts too much. I can’t do this” and it truly only makes it worse. I’ve been on a ‘control bender’ for the last couple of years. This morning I woke up feeling so empty and full of hurt. I’ve felt lately as if God has just given up on me. He’s given me so many chances and I always end up running away with my tail between my legs, thinking “I’ve got this.” I’m so tired of feeling this way. I know that God is the only answer and the only way to heal the hurt but I just feel like I’m talking to a wall. I want to learn to let go. I want to trust that God DOES have a plan for me. This sermon was what I needed to hear. I’m not dumb enough to think that it’s enough to just push me back on the path that I should be on, that takes action and determination on my part but your words created a spark in my heart that I haven’t had in a long time. Pray for me. I really hope that God hasn’t completely given up on me yet. Thank you for sharing God’s words with the world.

Sometimes I’m in my car second guessing my self and my relationship with GOD and I sit there and think about my faith, my trust and I feel so far from him. Thanks for talking about following through with God's plan for you life, I've been hurt in the past by Christians that judged me by their own standards of success. It was quite traumatic for me. Thank God I made it through that season in my life! Very dark. Thank God He kept me! People in the church really need to hear this. God bless.

Thank you! I felt like this sermon spoke to me today...and was an answer to a question I had before the Lord! To put away the sword in a figurative sense as a solution to dealing with an inequity...what was denied to me out of what I believe is discrimination and injustice, yet owed to me.
