You know, Steven and Marie are just a part of this universe. It's ... quite amazing, really. Ney built up this fantastically dark world and we just forget that there's more than just the redesigning part and Pufferbunny. Ney lost her lower jaw, she's supposedly the victim of a serial murderer and resurrected after haunting him to death (if Shiver in your Boots and Eyes are to be believed). There's a ton of really scary and surreal things in this world which are just seen as normal. It's ... so intriguing. The skill and dedication is inspiring. Heck, it inspired me to draw several times, or rather try to. I wish you all the best, Ney, and I am sure we will all be in here to witness this journey.

Jesus Christ! Well that was intense, I can see the joy of the whole scene. Omg, that big ol Kaboom! Just scared me the heck out of me a bit but more, and that blue sour patch kid (Huggy Wuggy) is just laying there dead in the vents, I may not forget about skillshare to just come up right out of me since I forget about that. And dang that’s a lot of blood and gore, just after all of that torture and struggles between those characters, well that’s a masterpiece, everything in this whole scene comes so well, and gets so much better and better. Something that I really like about this is that when Ney bursts in to check on Marie and Steven there's genuine worry in her voice. Like yeah, okay. You're both in absolute fear and confusion over what's happening and why you're being forced into this mess, but it's what's needed for something engaging and thrilling! Ney doesn't just redesign them for the hecc of it she cares and worries and this time even let the duo pick for each other. It goes wrong.. yeah, but she has good intentions!

It's like Ney is oblivious to how painful and horrifying it is for the OC's to be redesigned, and is doing it because she really thinks it's helping them out, (despite them being "sacrificed" to her). I also think a major factor contributing to Ney's obliviousness is that she herself does not seem to be able to experience the physical pain and agony that the other OCs do which is shown when she gets massive fatal injuries and is fine with it afterwards, while having no reaction at all. Essentially, she quite literally "doesn't get it".

@@thatguynamedgeorge9218 plus, the OCs usually start out in a fairly normal artstyle and become Neytirix's afterwards. Quite simply, to her they're going from deformed and unloved to completely normal, so even if she thought there might be some pain, she'd probably think of it like a surgical procedure to fix a congenital birth defect or something, so it's helping them and thus they'll be fine afterwards. Combining that with her own experiences with medical procedures (like the one that removed her jaw) she almost definitely is assuming that the experience will be the same for them. She probably imagines that demo-dog would provide anaesthetic if something was going to hurt, and that just existing as they are is already so painful that they need these procedures...

Interesting, indeed very interesting, how Marie and Steven's action has evolved strongly. At first, I was very much amused by this absurd level of horror such cute animals experienced. But then I noticed a very intriguing theme. For a long time, I've been thinking about how a novelist has to torture his creations to keep a story interesting. Because you can't fry eggs without breaking a few eggs, right? The fact that people usually do not like to see someone suffer is natural because we know well how terrible the pain is. However, would the Harry Potter story be just as interesting if Harry had a happy, complete family? Or would we really be watching a movie in which Luke Skywalker and his father and sister are on vacation spending time together? In my opinion, we humans are often lured by this darkness, this blood-soaked and violent reality, without which for us life and everything related to it is faded, boring, too perfect. And now we have the characters of Marie and Steven, sweet, happy creatures originally created by the authors, probably with a perfect life in mind, full of gentleness and beauty. Most considered this work "pale" or "non-creative", but deep down we know why we didn't like these characters. They were free from what people both hate and love, free from the bitter terror of real life, they were just that raw, unbroken egg, slimy, cold, and tasteless. And now I'm looking at what the author of the channel did with these characters, and what do I see? Terrified, confused, broken creatures, living in extraordinary fear, mutilated and ridiculed by fate and all gods known to man. But the most tragic of all this is that these characters can no longer escape, they are just what the people love, the author has completed her role, she has created an interesting story. The egg was broken...

well...I think I now see why tf one of my OCs has been a personal favorite of mine The OC, if you wanna know more: Based on a Minecraft roleplay, Rainbow Quest, where brightly colored Steve creatures exist, which have various powers. One day the Darkness arrives, shadows brought to life with the mere stress and trauma of a rainbow hero fallen. And my OC Taryal? A Darkness Beast, brought into full consciousness not unlike a Steve through experiments done by a corrupted Steve known as Nightmare (no I did not name that one, that's a canon character's name) But not only did he have full awareness, unlike anyone in his environment he had good morals, unwilling to hurt another unless defending someone from a far worse fate than if he didn't use violence. Now THAT was the base, Nightmare being the reason for Taryal's current state of being abandoned in an underground facility, Taryal trying to help a Steve also experimented on and left in the lab.. As of now I've added some gruesome details Like Nightmare kidnapping one of each of the 7 colors, letting Taryal absorb them and grow more powerful. Only for the last one, Violet, causing the morals due to representing love. Then leaving Taryal stuck in a test tube while testing on the Steve he ends up being abandoned with. As per usual I don't know why I write these things ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ it's just neat

Ok so I think I figured it out to why, the pufferfish-bunny-thing exploded. So it’s either: The compression in the vents that caused him to explode due to the pressure ORRR it’s that: The species was made to self destruct somehow during the course of it’s lifetime. Meaning that they do not live for the longest time. Maybe meaning that they decided to try and get into the ducts to either terrify Marie, or downright cause more in the storyline. They still have to go back, and on their sort of experiment. They had skin, and human like abilities as seen in the seen with the saw or, knife- like weapon. ( possibly used for more “Character making and designing”. ) It could also be that the pufferfish bunny is after them for a purpose of more food, or something of another. Possible being that he’s constantly hungry and had a desire to always kill and eat until the entire human race is dead. Anyways. Yea. That’s just my theory. *woah that took awile* H O N K O
