Please continue what you’re doing. There’s not enough Arabic dialogues with subtitles like this. To people who complain about dialects. Well, people don’t speak standard Arabic in the street. The difference is not huge, though.

Today, Fusha is For reciting Qur'an and Islamic Sciences. Modern Standard Arabic/Fusha without all the Qur'an Recitation rules is for the media, lectures and university studies. 'Ameeyah/Colloquial/Local dialect is what's spoken. Unfortunately, you must learn both in order to communicate and study Arabic. Don't go to an Arabic speaking country if you don't plan on learning there dialect. They may understand your MSA but you won't understand what they are saying. You have to become familar with their word choice and the way they use it. Do we say put it in the bag or puddit inda bag? That's the difference between MSA and dialect. Oh how I lovest thee Oh Juliet. Thou heart is twain my fingers and my forelock is twain your palms. That's how we sound to Arabs when we speak Fusha. If you want to sound like an Arab Shakespere speak Fusha in your daily conversations. Otherwise Speak Fusha with religious scholars, MSA at the University/Television Station and Colloquial dialect with everyone else.

For all the people who complain about how this *Egyptian* Arabic not just Arabic... it literally says in the title! Easy Egyptian Arabic. It's there. Otherwise, I think this is a really good video and an excellent resource for Arabic learners who want to know how to *speak*, particularly in Egypt. So many people and places focus more on MSA, which isn't bad, but you can't use it to speak XD or, like, you can, but it would be REALLY weird.

@@abdullahkatr8115 The reason other arabs understand your egptian dialect and you don't understand theirs, is because of Egypgtian media. What I mean by that is Movies! Biggest Actors were from Egypt. So, their movies were ofcourse in the Egypt arabic dialect. Thus, this is how all the Arabic countries were exposed to the egypt dialect and understand it well. And you were not open minded enough to check their movies and series, in other words you weren't exposed to their dialect. You have no excuse to not be exposed to other arabic dialect since there are actors in almost every arabic speaking country in our times. Syria and lebanon for example. Bab Al hara, a very famous series spoken in syrian dialect.

Prescriptive much? A dialect of the language is still the language, so Egyptian Arabic is linguistically Arabic, just a variant of the language. "Grammatically wrong?" Practically speaking, if anybody were to write an essay the way that they spoke normally (in any language) it would be "wrong", but daily conversation isn't a master's thesis. As long as others understand you, it is correct.
@josephstar1883
@josephstar1883 2 жыл бұрын
@@snailevangelist Daily conversations are not grammarly wrong. You can still speak proper English with correct grammar etc. Same way when you speak giving presentations or lectures. Don't be silly! I am certain the same goes for any other language out there, especially Arabic! "As long as others understand you, it is correct." False! You can speak in broken English and I could still understand you, since am used to speaking to people with broken English. That doesn't make your english correct!

@@mariamhabib8928 There's no dialect that have their own rules. Every langauge have their own grammar. If you mean slang or street language then that is grammaticaly wrong yes. Are you telling me that a professor in Egypt will speak the same way the people did in the video do? No! Why? Because that's not proper Arabic! Same goes for the English language. Have you ever heard a professor giving a lecture in unversity and speaking like a commonor or a thug? Since they also have their own dialect of speaking using slang words.
