What do you think of when you hear Summer in Japan?

I think Japanese summer items are exactly "Hanabi, Natsumatsuri, Furin, Kaidan" and like that! When I went to the hot spring, I heard Furin ringing and felt that "oh, it's summer". I'm curious about whether it's the same in North America that horror stories are connected with the hot season.

Adam was right. You can see dragonflies in summer. and regarding cold neck rings, it’s horseshoe shaped, not shoehorn, is that right? i found many expressions that i want to use in my daily conversation. thanks for the helpful video.
