I ask myself this every day. The joy of teaching Stretch Therapy for +21 years has never waned for me. The system evolves from the input of teachers and students, especially the latter! Thanks Kit and Olivia.

Yes and yes- I witnessed what happened to those two people on the Adelaide workshop- amazing break outs from their restrictions- but what's equally impressive is the ability of Kit to detect body form, shape and position, correct it and or adjust it appropriately to specially challenge the stretchee - I feel this attention that Kit offers during the workshop to everyone reinforces his genius and gives you faith this type of bodywork actually progresses the mind and body connection- mindful stretching, it opened my mind to stretch therapy.

I'm about to watch this and I already know it's going to be good. The quality of your work is astounding and I have no doubt that I'm about to be blown away again.

I'd love to attend your workshop, if you ever came to Perth. Please, guide me to a link to one of your workshops on how to stretch very tight quadriceps.

Search here on quadriceps and hip flexors: everything you need will be found. I have taught in Perth many times in recent years but it looks like on-line from here.

@@kina7128 after you've tried those quadriceps and hip flexor exercises, especially the wall quadriceps/hip flexor exercise, please do report back and let me know how you're going. Best wishes, K

@@KitLaughlin Thanks, Kit. However, it might take a while. I do know that one's mind plays a big role in affirming either positive or negative thoughts which could facilitate or hinder progress. That aside, I am also realistic about the whole thing. I have not been overly active over the past thirteen years and it SHOWS! I'm turning 58 soon, am horribly overweight, but determined to make this a year of better health choices. I have also started yoga classes, (14 classes so far) and am making slo-o-o-o-ow, but steady progress. I have progressed from stiff-as-a-plank to a slight bend towards any pose, but am ever hopeful! We've had communication recently, when I inquired about your book. I've sinced ordered it, but am still awaiting delivery. In the meantime, I'll give the stretches you recommend a good go. Thank you.

@@kina7128 I have a background in two different systems of yoga myself, and I can tell you that our approaches to stretching quadriceps and hip flexors are better for beginners than any others I have come across anywhere. These stretches are available free on this channel - search for quadriceps and hip flexors. If you have someone who can help you, do the partner versions, once you've got used to doing the solo versions. These things can be change quite quickly if you do the right exercises. As well, learn how to relax deeply - that is a major part of our system. You will find free relaxation recordings on our site, URL above. As well, read this section on our Forums: kitlaughlin.com/forums/index.php?/forum/32-read-these-threads-please-before-posting-please/

Hi Kit, Thanks for the thoughtful and informative video. To paraphrase you video "what we think and project shapes us. It is very powerful." I would add that, over time we become more like this 'frame'. In the absence of lived experience(s) that differ from it, we are constrained by thoughts. Irrespective (though not always unrelated) to what our actual contraints are or might be. "We shape ourselves to fit the world, and by the world are shaped again" David Whyte - TEDxPugetSound - David Whyte - Life at the Frontier: The Conversational Nature of Reality (the whole video is interesting BTW) Apart from giving you and e-handshake, I would add that my experiences were gained from separate experiences (chronic illness). It's nice to now how ever different the experience there is a shared, collective learning. Thanks again

I think you ought to run one of these, possibly a bit shorter, in Canberra this year. Just wondering if there is any 'spare time' toward the end of the year?

Great work Kit! And great words!!! Even though I've always been physically more flexible than your average body... Every course I've completed with you guys has changed me on some level... always for the better and always leaving me with that natural high of 'Yeah this is one of the best investments I could ever give myself' ... and stretching and hanging out for 6 days every year with like - minded bodies is a treasure!... Kind of like the excitement one feels when finding chocolate in your cupboard when you thought you had run out...You know how awesome it's gonna taste and the awesomeness never waivers!!! I totally endorse and encourage people to come and stretch... come and play. .. join us!!!

People are weird. All the damn time they say "I can't do that" and then when you give a little kick up the bum (not literally), they just do it, because they always could, they just had this unfounded mental block, that didn't agree with reality.
