Thank you, im 18 and I would love to stay strong and Mobile for decades to come, I’ve realized there’s so mush BS when it comes to information about the body, but I can tell you have a real passion for health, I can also tell that you are passing on knowledge from experience and not just mimicking other peoples opinions.

Really good explanation. I have chronic pelvic pain and this really makes me optimistic for recovery. Thank you

James, the key is learning how to relax deeply, as an *experience*, rather than as a concept. Head over to our site (link above); and search on "relaxation". There are many free recordings there, too, to help you acquire this skill.

different people, different needs and views. Stretching can have many benefits at ones and some might be more important then others, depending on the person who stretches. This approach is like asking: What is driving a car about? It's not really about moving from A to B. It's more about feeling the seat under you and retuning your eyes with the brain.

Yes, it's about how to enhance awareness, in general, and by tuning into the sensations of living, being present more often. Of course, I realise that these are not important things for some people, but all of the richness of the *experience* of being a living human being is found here.

Ive dreamt of greater ranges of motion that actually led to these ranges of motion increasing in daily life. Unfortunately my dreams of folding completely in half have not come true :P I definitelty stretch less now that I practise Buddhism instead of Kundalini Yoga, however I have strong doubts I'd be anywhere near as comfortable meditating or as proficient at diagnosing the issues that arise as my time seated increases. Good to hear you talk of frequency, I find at least once a week I get a real desire to stand on my head and then do a nice sequence of favourite poses and see if I can take them a bit further or with more poise or relaxation than I remember

With what’s happening with this awakening in the world I pretty damn sure this health and fitness (yoga/meditation) etc etc, way of life is just gonna grow and grow. Science is a dying religion. If you know what I mean. I’ve just found your Channel and have just subscribed. You seem a very pleasant man. Cheers

I have a background in science, and I assure you that it's not a religion for most of its practitioners. WRT myself, I only talk about things that I can demonstrate, or know to be true from direct experience. I follow the Dalai Lama's insistence that 'my religion is kindness': "Be kind whenever possible", he said; then paused. "It's always possible." he added. Thanks for commenting.

@@KitLaughlin you know exactly what I mean. Science is practical demonstration. My mistake, pseudo science is the religion that’s dying. God bless

@@Bendy-oceans-lol Anything can be done well, or poorly. The character of the doer is the main determinant, it seems to me. And yes to the end of pseudo science! Cheers, KL

Does age an obstacle in training?
@KitLaughlin
@KitLaughlin 3 жыл бұрын
You are the age you are, and that's what you work with! And there is no way to compare yourself with anyone else, because there are too many other variables in play besides your age. Starting is the main thing.

Kit are you familiar with people experiencing their diagnosis of Osteoprosis?
@KitLaughlin
@KitLaughlin 3 жыл бұрын
Yes. Stretching is the safest exercise for people with osteopenia (the forerunner, less serious version) as well as osteoporosis. Anyone needs to be more careful with these diagnoses, but if you follow the instructions and learn to feel what your body is telling you, stretching is safe.
