My grandma lived in Palmer Park on Ponchartrain in the 80’s 90’s and 2000’s! I knew I recognized this house! Used to pass it all the time on the way to visit her. I miss her dearly🥰 It is a beautiful neighborhood. Funny, tho…not even a block away you find yourself in the hood of Highland Park.

Sounds like some deep roots in Detroit!

Start telling the viewers the real about the areas these homes are in. Yes it’s golf course behind it, buts it’s crackheads 500ft down the street in highland park low income apartment community across the street. Make it interesting

A beautiful home that was renovated through the years by someone that didn't know what they were doing. Hopefully, someone that has some knowledge about historical architecture can bring it back to it's former glory.

Unique opportunity for a grand home. Looks like buyer would need to make $500,000 in upgrades and have $200,000 for decoration and furniture.

Depends on how much historical items you would want to keep. Many owners choose to keep the historical relevance in these types of properties.

I agree! I always say if I build a custom house I want a step down into a living space. That is such a cool feature.

The amount of renovations needed is ridiculous. I noticed major roof and wall damage. Major water issues. The tiles on the roof are irreplaceable. Electrical and insulation questionable. It would cost 3million above the asking price to renovate and make presentable

I admire large old houses like this from the curb but I really think they have limited appeal today.

That's my old stomping grounds, I've recently found out a lot of the folks that lived in that area was passing to say the least. The government said it not me, I've seen family & government documents back in slavery & Jim Crow times that whites wrote to back it up 💯.

Back in the Mid-70s when I was growing up in the University District this was on my Free Press paper route up to the Detroit Golf Course but this house did not receive that paper 😒
