What does a euthanasia appointment look like for you and your pet?

Thank you so much. We are living the end stages of our beloved cocker spaniels life. It is tough to face this & I cried while watching because I know we are not far from this decision. It is very helpful to know what to expect.

I lost the love of my life 4 months ago my 16yo dog she was physically and mentally tortured by new smartCity building works that's being built around us. I had to have her euthanized a home visit vet came out and it took her 30 seconds to complete her task, i didn't get to look into her eyes tell her How much i loved her nor get to give her my last hugs the vet stole this from me, she couldn't get my furbaby out of my house quick enough she even gave me wrong cremation dates. Nothing like what the vet said in this video. I will never be the same person 😢 Be careful you don't get no second chances? Veterinarian surgeries willnt tell you they transport veterinarian animal waste with your pet companions to the Crematorium This is what they call a dignified farewell for your beloved pet. Our pets when given them a communal burial only a token of their ashes are scattered if that the rest of the remains go to a dumpling ground be sure with go for private cremations or independent Crematoriums (Research!!!)

We had to take my sweet Chopper in a couple weeks ago. He had Hemangiosarcoma. He had masses on his heart, spleen, and stomach. They started bleeding into the sack around his sweet heart. We had no idea of this type of aggressive cancer that is more prevalent in German Shepherds. There was nothing that could be done, and we got a couple days with him after diagnosis. We stayed with our sweet boy, he looked me right in the eyes while the doctor put him to sleep. I think of him everyday and miss him every minute. The time I had with my sweet boy will always be precious. I wish he were still here. 😪

When i took my little JJ to the vet, i was hoping for a miracle but i knew deep inside he wouldnt be coming home. The vet was very good and let me spend time with him before the big sleep. He went peacefully and my heart broke But i knew he was not suffering any more. It really is devastating when you lose a pet. ❤❤ miss you baby boy.❤

I'm very sorry for your loss. I have experienced that every day it gets a little easier. My kitty Baby Rye passed away 5 weeks ago. I miss him but I know that he is no longer in pain. Many blessings to you

@@freedomwarrior5087 thankyou, it still hurts and sometimes I get a very strong urge to be able to cuddle him one more time. I have 2 other dogs that miss him as well. It is getting easier, but the pain physically and mentally was so strong. I still haven't been able to put his bed, bowls, leads and coats away yet. I hope everything goes well with your pet.

😢 I also just put my sweatheart down 3 weeks ago, she was 18 years old, a little Shihtzu named Roxi. I had her since she was a baby. Its too hard to lose them.

I will never allow a vet to take my pet back without me there. We are together to the last breath. Never will we be separated. They don’t allow me to be there for any part of this end, I leave and find someone who respects our relationship and allows us to be together up to and beyond the last breath. Just saying. Go somewhere else. No animal has to be separated in this time for any reason. Period.

The reason they take them in the back is after they are asleep,,, they give a shot to make them sleep,,, you are with them, then they take them in the back to give them the euthanasia shot,,, little dogs and sick dogs are usually dehydrated so they give the shot in the heart because the viens are collapsed… Then they bring them back to you. I made sure my baby was gone then I took her to the Crematorium for pets… My heart is broken,,, my baby was 18 years old. She took sick fast,, kept getting worse, suffering, they couldn’t do anything for her. She had at least 5 ongoing issues, one being heart disease,,, she was medicated for the last 6 years , she was healthy untill about a month before getting sick.

@@beverlybalius9303 I am so sorry this happened to you and yours and the grief you endure is as deep as the love you have. Hang in there. It doesn’t ever matter. If you want to be with your pup to the end, stay with your pup. I know about the heart shot and I was with my ferret for that too. Nobody should ever separate you until you are ready if that’s what you want. Don’t let anyone ever tell you what you have to do. You get to make that choice.
