If someone thinks this is a bad idea because you shouldn't drive yourself home after..... guess what you're required to do after your colonoscopy? Wisdom teeth? Any procedure requiring anesthetic? A home transportation plan. Or do you think we should get rid of anesthetics?

In my late teens & 20s my friends and I would do shrooms, Isd, and ecstasy occasionally. Good times! All were positive, fun, spiritual experiences. But, it's been decades. I don't know anyone who knows anyone who can get psychedelics from. I live in LA & there's a Kush store three blocks from my house, but I can't function alone on weed. I wish they sold psilocybin gummies. I'm a little depressed & a little anxious on a regular basis. I'm not a big drinker and I hate taking pills. A bite or two of a chocolate bar, or a cup of mushroom tea everyday would be a godsent for me.

I’ve been researching on psychedelics and it’s benefits to individuals dealing with Anxiety, Depression, ADHD and from my findings, they really work and I’ve been eager to get some for a while but its been difficult to get my hands on them.

They don't give someone enough to trip hard. This is a controlled environment and done by people who know what they are doing. This isn't for all mental health it's not for everyone and we all deal with things differently. This is something they have tested on mainly war vets and others suffering from things like PTSD. If it weren't proven to work or help it wouldn't of even been up for debate. This isn't the same as buying shrooms eating as much as you want then tripping all day and night. People need to understand before judging. We're all different and what works for one person may not work for someone else. Just like medication or any other therapy some works some doesn't for people. If this helps those suffering especially those who have fought for our country then so be it! They are being supervised by people who are professionals. No one should have to suffer if there's a solution to help. It's not harmful. Medication is more harmful. There isn't going to be a bunch of people walking around on shrooms being crazy. Id rather someone use shrooms than drink themselves to death or die from shooting up.

Mushrooms can help you quit smoking cigarettes, meth, heroin, I’d assume fentanyl as well. The part I’m the most against is being forced to be inside, and basically alone, etc. psilocybin is a connective chemical that opens a psychological doorway for intellectual emotional development and deeper empathic communication. Prime time would be a mild humid night under a full moon, slightly to moderately foggy with no wind, lots of old growth and mature trees and plants, maybe a creek or spring with drinkable water, plenty of snacks, someone to tend to a bonfire…. Some beer, marijuana, and cigarettes, many well intentioned people who are there for the experience as well to be able to talk to if compelled. Etc Locked up in a “facility “ that’s very clinical sounds like the literal makings of a bad trip.

💯 agree. I've tried MDMA on my own and I was always with people that had good vibes fuzzy blankets and backrubs. Good EDM music since we all were ravers plenty of bottled water and OJ. A cuddle puddle can lead to profound realizations and emotional processing in a supportive environment. I've just heard about some stranger has to be there with me they would trigger a panic attack. Screw this. Just score off the net. Since so many states have legalized or decriminalize weed, psychedelics have shown medicinal uses so they ALL should be legalized everywhere

Shrooms may be the oldest lifeform in the universe. Spores can travel light years in comet ice and then grow on far distant planets. They communicate with us via ingestion and even proximity and they open doors of perspection. Look at ordinary mushrooms at a grocery store and you will sense their power. They are telepathic.

Yes psilocybin is used to treat PTSD. These service centers are able to facilitate psilocybin to anybody 21 years or older. So if this is something you're looking to try for PTSD related symptoms, I would look into finding a center that is trained specifically to do PTSD psychedelic therapy and use them.

Because these people arent out and about tripping. They are in a controlled environment. Ran by professionals. If it wasn't proven to help it wouldn't of been brought up even. If test didn't show it helped same thing. They don't give these people enough to trip hard like people do with LSD. Not to mention they grow them themselves. Not buy it from some stranger on a street corner. LSD is completely different than shrooms. People put all kinds of shit in LSD. Can't do that when these Drs and scientists grow the shrooms themselves. My friend almost died from doing LSD because it had meth in it. As I said completely different than buying something from a drug dealer and running rampant in the street. If it helps people with things such as PTSD then why not? If it was you suffering would you want to be able to get help if if was available and proven to help? If a war vet or person suffering mental illness is helped by this I don't see how it's even an issue. This isn't meth or heroin it's not some homemade drugs containing unknown amounts of chemicals and ingredients. It's no different than people using medical marijuana. Neither are produced by mixing Household chemicals.

There's a pretty big difference between mescaline/LSD and psilocybin duration and effects wise. The way this law is set up logistically would not work for a 16+ hour mescaline experience. But, yeah this needs to happen. LSD and mescaline have just as much to offer to humanity and are far less harmful than tylenol.

Nope this is actual psilocybin. I did it once about 45 years ago. I couldn't have drove if I wanted to. A friend made this crazy dark tea with a fresh handful and I drank it. I didn't think anything was happening to me til about an hour and a half later. They said, don't look in the mirror. They said the lights will change colors and have tracers. They said it could be all night as much as I took. They said things will look strange and be funny. That was all true. Here is what they didn't say. I would wake up with a killer headache the next day and sweat it off for the next 3 days. I never did it again. I hope no one gets the dose that I got. There is some parts of time I don't remember and some that I do. I happened to be around people that were safe for me but I know that is not always the case for everyone. I also learned later that there is a chance of poisoning. It is just something I personally will never do again. I hope the people who do, get what they want out of it. Because I know there will be those who do it, including some for the wrong reasons. I wish them luck.

@@sodawater6453 By "poisoning" I mean they pick them in the dark on other peoples land that have plenty of cows. They can pick look alikes that WILL kill you. It wasn't like it is today where they are grown in a controlled environment. In fact some people still pick them in the wild and can still get a wrong one and die. Besides that, the effect its having on anyone who eats them is, in fact, poisoning. Go ahead and deny it, I can see you know everything there is to know. Still, to everyone who does it, good luck.

@@U.s-epa I'd argue that aside from a small subset of the population (people with severe personality disorders, schizophrenia, etc) psychedelics are good for humanity as a whole. Although somebody starving in somewhere like Ethiopia might not be too interested in using them. They might downstream still benefit from others using psychedelics by those individuals finding more empathy for their situation and helping in whatever way they can. For example. The whole "more for me, but less for thee" attitude some people have with psychedelics is silly. If you love them and have seen benefits to using them, likely others would as well. We should celebrate that we live in a time when that's becoming more possible for the average person, and not gatekeep such powerfully healing tools to other consenting adults.

People who are older and have never had a psychedelic experience, people that are anxious about trying them outside of a "safe" environment, people that have little or no peer support networks, people with actual trauma or mental illness that they fear will negatively impact their experience, people that want the therapeutic experience of talking to a unbiased person during their experience, etc. In my opinion we do need to allow adults to chose to have these experiences in whatever context they want to regardless if that's at home, in a center, in nature, whatever. And also to be able to grow mushrooms at home to give away to their friends and family or use themselves. But this module of providing psilocybin is far better than nothing and will infact help many many people regardless if more experienced psilocybin users don't use it themselves.
