Honestly this video makes me feel less crazy. Subluxations are so "normal" to me that i forget it isn't normal.

This is the first time that I realized that so many things I experience are not the same 'cracks' that everyone else experiences.

my friend sent me this video last night and i started sobbing when i heard this! i've been subluxing so so often in so many joints but especially my hips ever since i was a kid. i first complained about pain when i was around 14-15 and it was brushed off. i'm 25 now and in so much pain every day! currently trying to get scheduled with a specialist bc i finally got a referral but here i was worrying about "never having even a subluxation" LOL what a joke i subluxed like 6 times since i woke up and thats before i even really get out of bed! whenever i think my world is finally making sense the ground gets shaken again! im so thankful to know this though before an appointment. thank you so much for sharing your experience i really relate to the sensations and its crazy to think i didnt believe i was subluxing less than 24 hours ago, imposter syndrome had me in its grip so bad

Thank you for this video! I've had this happen with all of my joints since childhood and never knew what it was. I'm in the process of getting an Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome diagnosis and now I know that yes, I do deal with subluxations daily lol.

I’ve been basically disabled since 21 now 41 from what I believe is a subluxion problem in my left hip. I have endo and I know a lot of endo women have Eds I’ve never been diagnosed. I’ve been to 100 hip and spine Drs I’m exhausted. All you’ve explained happens to me my whole life it’s the reason I was screaming I’m birth but no one knew what was wrong with me. It’s the reason why I couldn’t have a second child the hip felt like it was being pulled apart. Yet I have no problem in my right hip at all I’ve lost all my dreams due to this. I’ve asked Drs about subluxion but they just say. “Oh your fingers can’t bend back and touch your wrist. I’ve asked them for years why do all my joints pops so much so badly. My jaw also pops out of place all the time so tired of it. The cracking keeps me up all night since 15 I’ve never sleep normal my whole life I’m so tired I don’t know how much more I can take. How were you able to have children with eds I think I have it.

Great descriptions of the feelings and sounds. My knees feel like someone kicked my kneecaps in and you just can't stand. My ankles feel like my foot becomes frozen and I need to use my hand to pull it back. My wrist feels like it fell off my arm and then slams back on to reattach. My elbow just feels like someone flicked the soft part on my arm. Everything else is mostly painless still thankfully. My bones don't pop so much as grind during movement, sounds like teeth grinding. Braces are my friends. Physio helps too but I'm often bad at pushing myself too far and causing a lot of subluxations or dislocations... It's not that it wasn't shown right... It's a personal I go one step too far and it's too late when I notice.

my knees sublux and there are times where it will only hurt for 5-10 minutes and i’ll be fine afterwards and doesn’t affect me. also there are times where it’s literally the most painful thing i have experienced in my life and i can’t walk at all. it’s crazy how these are considered the same thing because one is definitely more painful.

Sorry so long - I find you extremely relatable so I tend to ramble because I get excited that someone else shares and knows what’s going on in my body. You basically described my life with popping in this video. I’ve found your videos here and your comments on the EDS group so very helpful! I didn’t realize they were subluxations. The elbow one for sure - that one is so painful for a few seconds after it pops back in. And it just aches allllll the time. My knees have always popped, too. Everyone in my family has that. And the standing twist always does it in my knee. My oldest has knee issues but she doesn’t really pass all the criteria on the beighton score as me. She does have the same symptoms as POTS but not diagnosed. She doesn’t have as bad stomach issues as me but does have some. My youngest has other symptoms and is super flexy. She can sublux her shoulders at will (though I beg her not to). I’m on month 4 of an injury because I didn’t realize I sublux my shoulder. They pop nonstop. And my hips in the last month have worsened. They now get grinding sounds. Awful. My husband cringes. And they sublux all the time now. I also have snapping tendon in both hips that slides out and makes me fall. So much of my life in this body now makes sense. Can you make a video (if you haven’t already) about the types of pain you wake up with? The morning is the worst for me and I’m so stiff and in pain. My neck is the worst. As I move about through the morning hours things will pop and I will get some relief and the muscles will loosen up some. Sometimes I wonder if it’s just because I’m old or if it’s EDS related.

I didn't realize how much I related to this until now. I stretched my leg while watching this and had a big subluxation of my hip that was pretty audible and mildly painful. Currently watching all I can on hEDS to learn more as it explains so many of my experiences in life! Especially given my other diagnoses.

OMG apparently ive been sublixing my whole life...i was diagnosed with fibro and CFS and actually failed the disability testing because i was beyond normal flexibility even when injured...my body hurts and pops constantly. Im an artist and really dont want to have EDS or anything else cause my life is already a challenge but i def feel like i have eds or some form of connective tissue disorder. My ankles pop out, my wrist has popped out several times, i pop n click all the time, dislocated my elbow, sublux my shoulders very easily etc...Ive mentioned these but have never been diagnosed.... i have soft skin but not stretchy skin, i heal pretty fast and have had stretch marks since i was like 10...wow...this really has me thinking whether i should go down this rabbit hole smh...

My right hip subluxed last night as I was getting out of my car and I thought I was going to pass out it hurt so much. I literally couldn't put pressure on it. Thank goodness I have crutches... I took a muscle relaxer and put heat on it, and about an hour later it popped back into place. Now it's sore as hell, but at least I can walk now.

Mine happen in every joint all day long, sometimes they are very loud pops/cracks, or crackling knees. The painful ones are usually silent for me, when my whole hip or knee is out and its a 10 of pain suddenly.

My right shoulder has decided to be the new "problem child". I woke up in terrible pain the other day and could barely move it. Now it's feeling mostly better and I can move it, but it makes a new clicking noise that it never used to make. It feels slightly "off"; like something still isn't quite right with it. I don't know how to fix that. I'm in my late 20s and it seems like each year another joint gets added to the list of my troublesome ones that need to be popped a lot. It's always a learning curve when I have to figure out how to pop a new joint back in place.

So... this isn't normal?! I thought I just had non descriptly crappy genes (mom has joint problems) or weak muscles everywhere which meant my joints got unstable. I have some hypermobile joints but not as many as I'd imagine people with EDS have (just fingers, elbows and maybe hips)

you are... me. 0.o I recognize so much. I have POTS, and tomorrow they will do a CT to look for MALS. And my joints, wel, they are kinda like what you're illustrating in this video. I didn't know that those are subluxations.. But I still don't really get the difference between the loud popping, and the feeling that your joint is stuck and you need to push through and stuff, and subluxations. Or are they the same? When I sit down, squat you call it in English I think, sometimes when I stand up again, I sort of, fall down again, because my knees give up, if you know what I mean. Gives really intense sharp pain in my knees, hurts sooo much. Is that subluxation? I'm gonna watch your video again :') But, THANK YOU, for everything you share

Have you every dealt with neck subluxations. If so what do you do for them?
@AngelaHepp
@AngelaHepp 4 жыл бұрын
Yes, very frequently. I've just rolled over in bed or sneezed and my neck has subluxed. It's excruciatingly painful. I have to immediately lie down and use a combination of everything in order to get any relief. That usually includes heat, kinesio tape, essential oils, CBD/THC, kratom, muscle relaxers, TENS, ultrasound, braces, and various painkillers. Even with all those, it takes several days to be able to move normally (well, normally for me, anyway).

I just have to tell you you are AMAZING! Being a mom and having chronic pain has got to be one of the hardest things. I am a mom of 4 littles. I was badly injured a year ago and my neck took most of it. I have chronic pain now along with dizzy spells and so forth. I have been getting prolothearpy and PRP treatments starting to see some improvement. This treatment seems and is starting to feel very promising. Maybe it could be something for you. Praying for healing upon you body. Thank you for your videos and you positive sweet spirit.
