Does the MCAS/nervous system relation compare at all to food allergies? Or is food allergic reactions different than mast cell (histamine intolerance) reactions to food?
@AngelaHepp2 күн бұрын
Yep! 👍 The immune system is 100% controlled by the nervous system. Countless people have healed their food allergies through healing the nervous system. When the nervous system no longer views the food as a threat, it will stop treating it like one.

That's a very common question. I address that in the following video, and I have an e-book coming out soon where I explain my understanding of the connection as well. I'm not the only one. I'm so thankful to be here today to comment on your video about your awful experience struggling to survive. It hits so close to home for me I can't even believe it. I'm here listening to someone else's experience which is a very VERY similar story to my own. I'm only just now learning what caused my health crisis at the end of 2014 and early 2015. Nobody knew what happened to me or why. Paralyzed, in a wheel chair, unable to control my body functions, my parents found an allergist (I was in my early 30s btw) and the allergist prescribed cromolyn sodium capsule things which I put into water and drank 30 mins before I ate... That was the ONLY THING that started me onto the road to recovery. I'm just now, in the end of 2024, finding out that I have hEDS and am searching for a doctor to start the process of diagnosis. My heart goes out to you, friend. I am so thankful you are here to explain your story! Thank you.

So what exactly 'healed' you? Are you saying you no longer test pos for EDS/Dysauto/Mast celll? Having gone thru this for 40yrs now I havent found one person yet who is "cured" or "healed" from having the EDS trifecta as its progressively degenerative. Sure, we can do things that help minimize symptoms or prolong times in between attacks.....but it doesnt go away because you do polyvagal (which does NOTHING for my vagus) and walk around barefoot in dirt. I wish it were that simple. Of COURSE people with mast cell stay on low his diet....thats pretty much a given but not a cure either.

I am so happy for you and for lovely family! I cannot imagine how stressful the whole situation was for all of you! I am having most of the symptoms you shared and one in particular make me feel I have MCAS and it is inflammation. The last flare I had last really long but I noticed I gain like 10 pound in a week?! I am, like you, slim and i can notice my whole body inflamed mostly my stomach. It is so distracted and stressful! I read in one of the comments about nervous system regulation as part to healing this condition unfortunately my job environment is so toxic I’m in flight to fight mode every day walking in eggshells! I suspect my daughter has hyper mobility - I know I do- she suffers with chronic migraines, severe menstrual cycles, etc., and my son was recently diagnosed with MS. I’m so devastated 😢

Hi Angela - I just watched your interview with Dan on Pain Free You. It's a mind-blowing story to say the least. I've been on a very similar journey to you in many regards, and where I find myself now is absolutely unsatisfactory, considering what my life was like when I was healthy - my body / soul deserves far better. Is there a chance to speak with you personally, or via email to clarify a couple of things? I'm looking at Luanne's course, for instance, and I also wonder whether working directly with Dan might be best for me. Any time you can spare would be extremely welcome 🙏

This is so helpful to hear. I had a similar experience recently. I was stretching and doing some trauma-informed yoga, and then my body just went into groaning, moaning, pulsating, shaking -- and I got the sense that this was really old pain from my ancestors moving through for some reason. It was a very interesting experience.

When you are so far gone you can’t bring yourself to do these things?
@AngelaHeppАй бұрын
Yes you can. Your Disconnected Part will try to convince you that you can't, but you CAN. You can start with the simplest things, things that can be done from your bed. I was bed- and wheelchair-bound, on palliative care and about to go on hospice. I had already written goodbye letters to my kids and had met with my team of specialists to make the plan to discontinue my life-sustaining interventions. I was LITERALLY on my deathbed, and God brought me back. Don't give up hope!

Have you been tested for heavy metals? They can cause leaky gut by wearing away the mucosal layer of the intestines. Leaky gut causes MCAS. The metals also tax the detox pathways in the body and create an environment ripe for pathogens and parasites, which in turn also overload the detox pathways. Not to mention the neurologic affects all of that esp. the metals have on the brain.
@AngelaHeppАй бұрын
Of course. That was one of the ten thousand holistic things I tried over my decades of symptoms. Not surprisingly, my levels were nonexistent due to our clean lifestyle and diet.

I Just cannot understand why soooo many doctors don’t know these chronic conditions. So happens, my family, friends don’t know anyone w/chronic conditions and pathologize the one suffering. The pain is excruciating and symptoms more out of control yet “invisible.” The fear rises the less we’re believed or supported which further disregulates our brain/nervous system. I understand your feelings of yearning and feel ready to go “home” spiritually. The medical system can be so traumatizing and it also becomes very difficult if not impossible for many, to go to appointments. Healing happens in Connection where a sense of love/care is present. We need Medical professionals who possess true empathy. That goes for everyone. It’s a lot to ask but it’s the only way to change this world.

Hi Angela, I love all your videos. Thanks for sharing your inspiring journey - I have been doing the brain food course for 3 weeks and really enjoying it. I was diagnosed with MCAS, CIRS, SIBO last year. I have implemented more and more food into my diet in the last few months - its awesome my life is getting back on track, one question I do have is about wine (very important hahah) - I still feel pretty terrible the next day after drinking 2 glasses of wine (3 glasses is my max) and wondering if to keep up the exposure with drinking it to tell my brain its safe or give it up for now? - I wanted to know if you had any experience of this on your journey, or any advice is helpful - Thanks Aimee
