They seem more rare in Ningaloo, unlike on the East cost of Australia, ie. Cairns where they have vinegar bottles all along the beach. Wasn't really a concern here, but maybe it was the wrong time of year?

nah, too far south and water is too cold. This is still 1300km south of Broome (I'd be a bit more cautious there)
