My buddy is a backline tech for old guitar gods. He hasn't liked any new bands I've shown him, except this band.

a musician instantly recognizes the talent of all the ladies. I agree with Eric, that asamis pure, powerful, dramatic and sometimes vulnerable voice and how she masters the lower and highest registers is special and amazing. thank you for your appreciation of lovebites and helping to get them known to more people. win-win.

Eric does not say much, but what he says is spot on and you get the feeling that he really means it. So, Asami and Haruna? Good choice. Everyone is so mesmerized by the guitar solos, and they should be, but the most impressive IMHO is the teamwork to just bring the song forward. Keeping the beat on those guitars is much more demanding than the solos, so is the beat on the bass and the drums. At a high speed they have to be 100% locked on to each other.

Yeah... the bass and the drum is like a backbone.. the one that support our body to be able to move.. run.. jump and etc... they are not on spotlight but they are the one to make sure the tempo is keep going - fast or slow...

I got quite impressed with Eric’s honest and warm comments to these girls, while other musicians sometimes showed overwhelmed faces in their listening but commented not interested in or just good. I feel the great musicians like Eric encourage and grow young musicians.Thank you for posting this.

Joel, did you tell him that Haruna goes at that speed for the entire concert. Also did you mention that Miyako is self-taught on the guitar? Pleasantly surprise that your guest pick up on Asam's beautiful voice.

Brilliant reaction. A lot of time,s Asami's vocal work get's overshawdowed by the guitar work of Midori and Miyako or the rhythm section of Haruna's drumming and Miho's bass work , but she is extremely talented and powerful. The fact that Asami is singing in English versus Japenese is even more impressive. The whole band is crazy talented.

Another awesome video Joel!! 🤘😊🤘 Asami was one of the first things that blow me away when i first saw this performance too. Such power, especially in a song like this where the instruments are going wild the whole song!! Haruna of course my fav 😁What a force of nature she is!! 🤘🥁🔥

These reactions of you are really interesting, because we can hear the opinion of amazing guys you bring in and also yours, off course - I am, obviously, fascinated by the quality of Lovebites, but I'm not a music expert. So I'm asured I'm not been fooled! lol... Thanks a lot.

Several reactors to Japanese female metal and rock are saying - I think Ill throw away my guitars. They won't do that of course, but it is a way of saying that they are humbled. I mean, not many on this planet can cover Lovebites songs, including the M&M solos and Haruna's drumming. Not to talk about Asami's singing. You have to have all of that. Actually, maybe no one can have all that. A Lovebites cover band might never materialize.

@@rolandkarlsson7072 I think it's why a lot of top players won't mention Michael Romeo. He is still king of the mountain.

Well he is already impressed and it's not even one off the best songs they have. For me Holy War is not even in my top20 of Lovebites songs. That says a lot about the quality of this band 🥰
