I'm 57, 80s metalhead musician, and absolutely love Lovebites. Favorite group, period. If they come to California, AZ or Nevada, I HAVE to see them. Unfortunately when/if I do see them I am absolutely going to lose my sh-t. Its literally a bucket list item for me...and I will LOSE it.😂🤩

Every time I see Miyako on the piano I get the chills. Absolute elegance and skill. Then of course the rest of the ladies ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤. This is one of the best bands I've ever heard. I'm 72 years old and started listening to music in 1965. They rock big time.

LOVEBITES - Swan Song lyrics: If this was the last day you could live on this earth Would you still go on, accusing someone for today It’s better to fail than not do anything at all It is not the length, but depth of life that counts Oh brave soldier Oh gallant warrior Valor to those who died in battle to Valhalla Believe what’s in your soul For death will come to all You shall rest peacefully in God’s Heaven Floating lotus You are so graceful Saintly and glorious Till the end of time Floating lotus You are so beautiful Sing me your sweet song The legend of the swan If you’ve never hoped, you’ve never been though despair Ignorance is bliss, it’s easier to not care You might think it’s meaningless to sacrifice a life Sometimes the life of one can save so many more Oh brave soldier Oh gallant warrior Valor to those who died in battle to Valhalla Believe what’s in your soul For death will come to all You shall rest peacefully in God’s Heaven Floating lotus You are so graceful Saintly and glorious Till the end of time Floating lotus You are so beautiful Sing me your sweet song The legend of the swan SOLO: miyako / both Floating lotus You are so graceful Saintly and glorious Till the end of time Floating lotus You are so beautiful Sing me your sweet song The legend of the swan SOLO: midori ----- lyrics: asami music: miyako arrangement: LOVEBITES (miho, haruna, midori, miyako, asami) album: Electric Pentagram 01/29/2020

Thanks again, Joel, for making such a quality effort to get some of these bands we love, better recognition, and I think Swan Song is a great choice for a first time listen, especially for someone with a more 'classical' background. However, probably not the best one to showcase Asami's vocals and I do think that for a first listen that the captions would be helpful! Keep up the good work you do!!🤘

This one is very good, and spectacular. But --- it is not a showpiece for Asami. This is a walk in the park for her. I hope he will look at some more.

Didn't seem as though he did..and using the lyrics would've helped him get a better understanding of the entire song..Joel's great for exposing these great bands to insiders, but seems he's so random, and offers no back story 99% of the time.. I don't want to discourage him, so I hope he continues. the opportunities for a new fan relies many times on a first impression and i feel that gets lost sometimes..

That man has taste. He obviously enjoys great singers. No criticisms and was subtle enough not to mention Asami's vocals although he was asked. Sorry but I find Lovebites such an excellent instrumental band but often struggle with Asami's pitch and diction.
@1970Phoenix Жыл бұрын
Asami is not an easy singer to love at first hearing, especially for a western listener. I myself struggled for some time with Asami's vocals. She is a really good singer (without being a great singer), but her strong accent and poor enunciation of English words can make it difficult to love her style (at least for some people). Now that I'm used to her vocal style, I've learned to love her singing, even with its (subjective) deficiencies, and I can't imagine LOVEBITES with a different vocalists.
@clivematthews5296 Жыл бұрын
@@1970Phoenix I still enjoy Lovebites despite her vocals but initially assumed all Japanese singers were like that having heard BabyMetal and Hanabie (although she growls too) but then heard Rina of LiSaX band, Mayu of Nemophila, Maki who guested with Asterism and Saiki of Band Maid who have more depth to their vocals.
