Even if they look like 12 year olds, there is no denying that when years pass, they age. It's not like they stop time, or it's not like they are "250 body age" or something. That's why they call it "years old/age", because they measure by much year the invididual passes, and that's also why they don't call it "body old/age", because they don't measure the appearance of the body, but rather the years the body have passed.
