For a non-Korean speaker, Cloud Cuckoo Land is the best korean music album I've listened so far. This album is an explosive, dynamic journey, constantly shifting and surprising. It’s like a rollercoaster ride-one moment you’re gliding through a mellow, acoustic guitar melody, and the next, you're hit with a burst of electric guitars and drums. Each track keeps you on your toes; a song might start with a fast, energetic rhythm, slow down midway, and then ease to a gentle finish, while the next song will introduces you into a completely different genre. It’s an experience that keeps evolving, never settling into one groove. I like the consistency in the use of language in each of the songs, meaning there is very little or even no mixing of languages, like inserting English lyrics into a song that is predominantly in Korean or vice versa. But again, that's just my personal preference. Looking back a few years, I haven't listened to many albums with a female lead singer, but not too few either. Even so, to me, Cloud Cuckoo Land is on the same level as albums like Lorde's Solar Power, Caroline Polachek's Pang, and Uru's Contrast. Well, if someone ever asks me, 'What is Korean music like?' I would certainly answer, 'Behold! Jungwoo's Cloud Cuckoo Land.'

1집은 제가 느끼기에 감정들을 개별적으로 표현한 곡들로 채워졌다고 봐요. 기본적으로는 멜랑꼴리함은 있지만요. 특히 무기력과 우울한 날들 속에서 느꼈던 일들을 옴니버스형식으로 곡곡마다 눌러담아냈구나 느껴졌어요. 2집에서는 그곳에서 벗어나고자 하는 욕망이 느껴져요. 기본적 감정이 한단계 올라간 느낌이 전체적으로 든달까요, 그러나 언제나 모든 것이 양가적일 수 밖에 없기에 그렇다고 우울이 느껴지지 않는 것은 아닌 것 같아요, 대신에 나아지고 있음 그 사실 하나만은 전체적으로 느껴져서 좋았어요. 나의 현 상황이 나아진다고 한들 사회적으로 인정받는 똥꼬발랄함까지는 미처 가닿지 못할 수는 있겠으나, 대신 내가 원하는 방향으로 가겠다는 의지가 느껴집니다. 뭐, 다시태어날 수 없으니 안고 가야하겠죠? ㅎㅎ 감사히 잘 보았습니다!

전의 앨범은 마음을 울렸고 새 앨범은 힙하고 귀를 즐겁게 해줍니다. 정우님의 팬들은 비난하겠지만, 슬퍼요~ 귀를 즐겁게해주는 음악은 자주듣지 못하고, 정우의 매력을 가리는 갑옷 느낌의 색은 힙하게는 했지만 오히려 흔해진 느낌입니다. 몇 개월 동안 종종 들었지만, 마음을 울리는 건 여전히 철의 삶 공중댄스 양 연가...네요.
