You are correct. Ku jirid 1. Alaabta bacda ayey ku jirtaa. 2. Cali musqusha ayuu ku jiraa. 3. Hooyo guriga ayay Ku jirtaa. Joogid 1. Hooyo wey joogtaa. 2. Hooyo qolka ayey joogtaa. Bonus (Mee and Aaway) Mee and aaway are used to ask questions. You can say: Aawey aabo? or Meeyay aabo? Or you can say: Aabo meeyay? Hooyo meeday? More examples for Mee (Mee) Meeyay eygii? Eygii meeyay? Meeday hooyo? Hooyo meeday? More examples for (Aawey) Aawey eygii? Eygii aawey? Aaway hooyo? Hooyo aawey? The structure for (Mee) is like this: Mee+yey for masculine words Mee+day for feminine words. Cali meeyey? Caasho meeday? (Aawey) is used in the same way for masculine and feminine words. Cali aawey? Caasho aawey? I hope this helps insha'Allah.

Assalamu Alikum bro Sam, when someone is in somewhere temporarily and we are expecting that person to come out soon we can use KU JIRTAA, like she is in the toilet (Musqusha ayey ku jirtaa) but when we are not expecting the person to come out of that place so soon, we can say, JOOGTAA, she is in her room (Qolkeeda ayey joogtaa) or Guriga ayey joogtaa. so I think that is the difference between ku jiririd and Joogid. as far as TAAL or OOLID is concerned it is only use for unanimated things or objects. like (Sonkor ma taal), if we use for people it means staying somewhere for no reason or as a guest or temporary stay of somewhere in which you don´t belong to or not your permanent residency, it is mostly used by rural people or nomads, reerku halkaas ayuu yaal etc- I hope that helps.

I love how the dialect changes as you move down the Somali coast from the North all the way to the Kenyan border. My slight criticism would be the fact we don’t cherish these dialects as we should. Some people in the North look down on certain dialects in the South as ‘inferior’ or even go as far as saying ‘are these people speaking Somali?’ . I guess it’s the same in the UK if, god forbid, you happen to speak a Northern accent like a Scouser or Geordie.

@mobmotivation6797 Y’all literally speak Arabic words and y’all tribe names are originally from Af Maay. For example why is there Maxaa tiri tribe named Gaaljecel or Abgaal? Why not Geeljecel or Abgeel, that’s because in Af Maay we say Gaal for camel and it’s the original. Stop using our words to name your tribes lol is your dialect too dry?? You have tribes named Harti and Hiraab when those are literally everyday af maay words 💀 Harti means man and Hiraab means morning. Y’all have many words that have af maay roots like: Dhexroor - diameter, Dhex+roor. Roor in Af Maay means to run and dhex means through ofc. Why not say Dhexcarar? Or Dhexorod? Is you dialect to weak to not use af maay words or steal Arabic and English words? Another example is “Horseed” (leader) which is “Hor+seed” Seed in af maay means to go to somewhere why not say Hor’aad instead? Is your dialect too weak? Y’all say Minxiis rooting from the word “Ming” meaning house in af maay, is maxaa tiri stealing from us again? 🤥 Yall don’t even have a word for Nieces and nephews lmao In af maay we say “Aysin”. Y’all say “Surwaal” for pants which is Arabic and we say “Targalo” which is af maay. Y’all are so weak Y’all have to steal our words LOL 😂 If anything is a bastard waa adiga 😂😂 wax baro

I think ku jirtaa means you are in there to do or buy something, and you will be out soon, for example musqusha ama dugaanka bey ku jirtaa/buu ku jiraa if you are buying something in the shop, but If you are a shop owner and you are inside, we say joogtaa/jooga because we are not expecting you to come out or leave soon. Sometimes, we say qolka bey ku jirtaa/buu ku jiraa, which means they will be out soon. Suuliga/musqusha bey ku jirtaa is right you can't say joogtaa.

The word "TAALA" is for things, and the word "JOOGTO" is for people. That is the difference. But it the crazy thing is an English man who is teaching somali people a Somali language.
