I feel like my heart is what guides me. I take his word to heart, i love him with all my heart. After all the holy spirit is living within my heart so I always think he’s guiding me in that way. My brain is the one that over thinks and in the end leads me astray but my heart feels and knows the truth. Loved the message and took things from it, i just see it differently.

You say, "Don't follow you heart, inform your heart"....but who is the one informing your heart? Is it you or is it the Holy Spirit of God? Remember that "the heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked: who can know it?" (Jer. 17:9) No matter how "good" a person outwardly seems, no matter how religious and devout in the things of God, he cannot know his own heart UNLESS he has been baptized in the HOLY SPIRIT (not water) and GOD has shown him just how wickedly prideful he is! God and He alone must give us a NEW heart, God's heart and this can only come through the NEW birth, the birth of God within us. David was a man after God's own heart (1 Sam. 13:14; Acts 13:22). The Lord tells us over and over that He will give us a NEW heart and a NEW spirit. (Ezekiel 36:26) Why? Because OUR hearts are NOTHING but evil and whatever spirit comes OUT OF A MAN is evil! You all speak as if we have some kernel of goodness within us just because we name the name of Christ and help each other out. Do not be deceived, God is not mocked (mimicked). No man can mimic the divine, only the divine can be the divine. When Nicodemus, who was well respected and full of knowledge of the Scriptures, came to Jesus to seek more information about Him what did Jesus tell him? Jesus did NOT tell Nicodemus to keep searching the Scriptures and meditating on them and to love his neighbor etc. No, He told Nicodemus he must be born again! He must have the Holy Spirit within Him to give him a new heart and mind and spirit! KNOW that it is impossible to know our wicked prideful selves without the Holy Spirit to inform us and give us a holy fear. It is then and only then we will cry out, "Lord Jesus save me!" "...work out your own salvation with FEAR and TREMBLING." (Philippians 2:12)
