My interpretation is that we all have the potential to be all of the best things that God is. We have the capacity for love, forgiveness, sacrifice. There is light and hope and meaning inside of us, like an image of God. The same way a painting or a photograph can capture an image of a thing without actually being it.

There are a lot of illustrations to try to explain the Trinity. Many are helpful in some way, but they all break down somewhere along the line. Can a created thing really illustrate the uncreated, or the finite the infinite? He revealed HImself as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit for a purpose, not because He is limited to being three persons. He can be one or as many as He wants to be, yet one.

My question in Genesis which am trying to understand is the gap between Genesis 1:26 and the actual creation of man (Adam). After Genesis 1:26, the physical creation man doesn’t take place till Genesis 2:7. Would be nice to hear your response. Again, from my understanding we are first spirit beings, we have a soul & we live in a body. From the Scriptures it’s very evident that spirit and soul are separate from each other. Good day have question not about this video but in general. Have given my life to God and stopped drinking and basically live my life accordingly to God. My question or if you can make a video if not made already that I want to know is.. Know it's a sin with flesh and sleeping around and all of that and that sex is only allowed in marriage. So the question is if you meet someone and it is serious and my intensions is to marry the person one day will it be a sin to have sex then or is it a must to be married first in order not to commit sin. Hi Attie. Awesome to hear your testimony! My understanding is that sex is reserved for a married couple, thus pre-marital sex is not the will of God. Even if you are committed to each other and planning to marry, things can change and then you’ve shared the intimacy with someone other than your wife. "Marriage" is what the "Image of God" is. While there is only one God, God is not one person. Instead, he is three, the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit. When God created man he didn't create one person, but two, Male and Female. When a man and woman marry they are no longer two separate persons, but one Flesh (Gen. 2:24). This only happens when the Husband and Wife allow God to be the third person in their life and Flesh. Satan has been on the constant attack of Marriage since Sin entered this world and has introduced thing like Polygamy, Divorce, Homosexuality, and Sex outside of Marriage. He has also attack Marriage by having many Christians to believe there will be no marriage in Heaven by having us misunderstand what Jesus meant when he said "They neither marry nor are given in marriage at Resurrection" (Matt. 22:30) Jesus only said they won't marry "At Resurrection" because the Sadducees, who didn't believe in Resurrection, only asked whose wife the woman would be "At Resurrection." Plus, Jesus earlier told the Pharisees it was wrong to end marriage in divorce because God brought the husband and wife together (Matt. 19:3-6). So if Jesus was really saying God is going to annul all Marriages at Resurrection just because some people married more than once, he would be contradicting himself from having earlier said that God created Marriage.

The Trinity doesn't have to talk to itself. He's talking to the divine council, his sons in heaven, reference Psalm 82. Dr. Michael S. Heiser explains this well. Everything else is good, but this Trinity talking to itself view is very common, but obviously incorrect once the rest of the old testament is studied.

You’re correct that Trinity does not HAVE TO talk to itself, but it is three persons and one being so the question becomes why would one of those persons, namely the word of God speak to the other two persons of the trinity, even though they are one being? The answer is simple. To reveal the Trinity extremely early in Genesis. The key issue with saying that he is talking to the divine council is revealed not in the “our” but in the “us” preceding it. “Let *us* create man in our image”. There is no evidence that the divine council took part in creation, therefore it is more likely that the “us” and the “our” was meant for us to read it as intra-trinitarian. Especially because this verse is proceeded immediately by verse 27 in Genesis 1 which is, “So God (plural Elohim) created man in his (singular possessive pronoun) image.” This is the dead giveaway. No one but mankind was created in the image of God. This is one specific thing that I think Heiser got wrong. Everything else about his work on the divine council though, is very compelling. This is so far the only thing I think he had wrong.

​@@BozzleyOfficial Did you not read Psalm 82? Do you have a Doctorate. Dr. Heiser got it ALL right. The Divine Council was made up of the "sons of GOD" whom he was talking to. The trinity was not talking to them self. Only GOD did the creation. He said, let us create man in our image and then said then GOD performed the creation. Also read Deuteronomy where he addresses the divine council again and assigns them to rule the nations (I don't remember the chapter and verse, but I'm sure you can find it). In the beginning GOD had but one and only true son who always was, but he also had a divine council of son's of GOD (not son's of Israel like some versions read. Get an ESV) that he created. You seriously need to closely read the unseen realm and then you will truly SEE the truth. That is unless your own desires blind you to it.

God created Adam in His own likeness and image (sinless), then when Adam fell he created his posterity in his likeness and image, Genesis 5:3-“And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, after his image; and called his name Seth:” This is a sinful image and that’s why there has to be a new birth to be recreated in God’s own likeness and image and we see this in 2nd Corinthians 3:18-"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord." This is what the vast majority of Christians fail to understand. Without the new birth a person dies in his sins because he is not created into the image and likeness of God.

Only when we are convicted of our sins do we have godly sorrow and only after we have godly sorrow can we repent. So acceptance and repentance are not the vehicles to eternal life but are evidences that we already have it. Furthermore, ‘accepting Christ’ obviously shows that somebody has repented. So accepting Christ not only happens well after the new birth but also after repentance. I suspect this would blow the minds of the vast majority of Christians today. He also says that He must go so that they can receive The Holy Spirit…. He also says that they should receive The Holy Spirit after He breathes on them…. @@elizabethnovotny109 the Apostles didn't believe in the Trinity so Jesus Christ never taught the Trinity. Got Questions is a ministry that believes that God is a Trinity so their interpretation of the Bible is based on the Trinity doctrine being true.

​@@elizabethnovotny109 The problem I see in Trinity explanation by many is when you say; 1. The Father is not the Holy Spirit & Vice versa 2. The Divine nature of Jesus is not the Father & vice-versa (completely against scripture Isaiah9:6) 3. The Divine nature of Jesus is not the Holy Spirit Then it's biblically and logically wrong Because it's the Essence of the Father that makes him the true God, so the son with the same Essence is equally the Father and God. If the Son is not the Father, then you're talking about 3 or different gods. If you're confused because of the word SON OF GOD, don't be, because it only means God expressed/revealed bodily/physically.

Yeah, if you think of GOD on your own terms. The trinity is all over the New Testament and oh yeah its in the Old Testament as well. YOU just have to read it before making these false claims.
