Spider-Man 2 is giving me the feeling I got when I once played Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. It’s like a high budget Hollywood film that you’re in control of. It’s just incredible! The cinematics are mind blowing and it really makes me feel like I’m these characters that I’m controlling and I actually care about what happens to them.

Yeah that made me cry more than anything else in the game sadly. Also the part where the old man was talking about his wife. The game doesn’t have much in that department compared to the first or second game. I got more choked up at seeing the vulture and shocker being dead more than the ending. I wish they killed Harry because it would make more sense and actually be heartbreaking.

I really loved how they handle the black suit and all it's ups and downs. Kraven was a perfect choice, because he literally wares Miles and Pete down to the point of them breaking and having to face their own personal demons. After finishing the Mysterium Quests, it even gave me one of my favorites lines of the game through Quintin.

@@flashergoldpower15I don’t think the design is as bad as everyone says. My main issue is the sneakers. The feet should be like most suits where it’s a part of the suit. The light blue parts of the suit might be a bit much and, but the idea makes sense to me with his evolved venom lightning powers. You could make arguments about the hood or the exposed hair, but I think that’s more personal preference. The mask has this all black dotted look and that I think should just be the normal web design. Overall it’s not bad, but I think they went a bit too far with the changes.

Once Miles is fully upgraded it becomes way easier. Venom Burst, then three finishers, then the Venom attacks, and by the end of all of that you probably only have to take out one or two more guys to rinse and repeat. Spam the gadgets in between them and you’re damn near invincible as Miles

I have a voice acting background and have to say that Yuri Lowenthal's performance has been such an inspiration for me since the Prince of Persia games. The vocal training was really tough, sometimes without noticeable results for months but actors like him and the late Kevin Conroy are a great impulse to not give up. This game was literally MADE for the PS5. Sure it'll release on Steam in a year or two but the best most optimized way to play this (and any Sony exclusive) is on a PS5. The Completionist wasn't exaggerating when he said the PS5 controller's haptic feedback is super immersive and cool feeling. You won't get that using a mouse and keyboard.

They couldn't create a trilogy to equal the presence that Insomniac has created, it's incredibly Spider-Man and also conceptually unique with how they have placed the characters on the timeline. Rather than peter being old and jaded, he's vibrant and a young man still figuring it all out, at the same time as trying to be a mentor. That's essentially the short form of what MCU did with RDJ and Holland Spidey, but it flows better here and doesn't feel forced like how RDJ was in Homecoming, basically bullying Peter and blackmailing him into being a bigger hero than he was ready for. By the end here, Miles comes to where Holland should have naturally and believes he's incredibly capable of being Spider-Man cus he's had a prominent figure to lead him down this path and show him his full capabilities and now he's prepared to be apart of even bigger teams, if Miles were to join the Avengers or Fantastic 4. This is the best setup and execution that any Spider-Man could have outside of Spider-verse.

I love this game but I do have some pet peeves -No repayable missions/bases. It was in the Miles Morales solo game so it's non inclusion is a step back. -No more podcast archives. I loved replaying the funniest ones in the first two games. -You can't freely swap between characters in most missions like GTA 5. I could understand some scripted plot events but there should've been times we could choose our Spidey. -In free roam the other Spider-Man stops existing aside from the rare encounter, dashing my hopes for hangout activities. -Some activities only being for one Spider-Man. I can understand specific side-missions but Peter should be able to participate in those illusion challenges. -They removed the years from the Spider-Men's relatives graves. I don't know why but that annoys me. It's just a weird retcon. -The lack of time and weather options upon completion is disappointing, especially since they were in the remaster and Miles game.

I think one of the things that really made me stop and stair was walking through the mysterium portals with no problem. No stop and wait for area to load just walk through portal and bam new area. Its a weird thing but i think picking up the spiderbots was one of my varourite side quests because i didnt have to drop everything to do them. I dont mean that i dint like all the other side content. I really did. But with the spiderbots specifically the flow was you saw a pulse and for the most part, angle a couple of degrees away from your actual destination, swing towards the bot, pass by it grabbing it with a webline and continue one without breaking momentum. Sure it was a bit more complext for some of them particulary the ones in mid air but for the rest of them, i really like that idea of just grabbing them.

I absolutely recommend this game. 10/10. The feeling of seeing both Miles Morales and Peter Parker fighting side-by-side like they should have been instead of in the comics where Peter Parker dies… Gives me a sense of satisfaction I haven't had with a Spider-Man game in years. I'm still playing right now as we speak even after beating the main story. I could play this game for hours and this might very well be the first game in over two decades where I actually decided to fully complete.

My ONLY issue with the game, that completely gutted the stealth in this game for some reason. You have no tools for silently taking out a room full of enemies, no traps, no web bombs, nothing, all you can do is shoot web to get enemies to move so you can do perch/silent takedowns making attempting to clear a room silently take FOREVER. It’s really weird how that whole element was all but almost removed when it was so well implemented in the first but aside from that one thing, phenomenal game.

While I really really liked the spidey games, I would never call them masterclasses in game design. They had a whole bunch of flaws and generic gameplay elements and judging from what I’m seen, spidey 2 is a lot more spidey. When i played in the symbiote suit, i was initially hyped on how good it felt, but then as he pushed people away... I didn't want to go to the next mission cause i knew destruction would follow pete. And i think that's what they were trying to accomplish. Make you realize being OP comes at a cost, it really makes you feel like your a voice in peters head telling him "stop this rampage" Like when i got it, i dont know if this is intentional, but the controller vibrations were heavy when you first get the suit, but it feels like the vibrations get weaker as u play as him, maybe signifying that he's losing the adrenaline from all that power and now he's craving more, hence the next phase... When venom starts to fight for control so he can provide pete with more of that feeling

I disagree on the suits. Though I think it’s really cool that you can unlock different designs and colors, they left out a lot of requested suits and added ones that were ugly or took out suits from the last 2 games that were great. The suits were a missed opportunity in my opinion.

Yeah I don’t get why they didn’t just have all the old suits at least. Don’t take any out, just add. It’s what a sequel should do anyway.

@@ericmay560does it make sense to add 15 new suits to the already existing Titles . So people can complain that they brought back all the old shits and just added a couple or would you like them to add 30 new suits ?. Also people complaining about suits realize that your probaly only gonna a go through 12 at most that you really like . So all the suit critique is kinda played out tbh
