Such a shame Phase One have no authorized dealers in Scotland. If ever there's a problem with the camera it means it has to go all the way to London prior to being dispatched for repair to Denmark in absence of there being any representation in Scotland.

For most lenses it only takes a facelift from rubberized focus ring and manual to auto focus ring to metal focus ring and thats about it. Most blue ring lenses are just silver ring lenses that have received a face lift. Do not be fooled.

I am starting to believe Phase One is not as great as they claim. It seems they are the only ones making videos about their camera system. No one seems to really like phase one or have any technical information about Phase One's alleged greatness. I hear a lot of bad things about the system showing much Chromatic Aberrations, color cast, unreliable focus, slow focus, only 1 focus point, unreliable shutter, etc.

As a new owner of a phaseone camera, I can personally images from the camera are nothing short of amazing. It’s not a system for everyone but for those that use it we all agree its a great system. We are so fortunate to live in a time when we have such incredible technology and so many options

Because people just know why phase one are the best. And not for every youtuber or consumer out there. There are comparisons on here and every one tells the same. There is such a big difference but compared to price, phase one is only for special professional use.

@@Ivlodded From what I see the lenses are not able to resolve the full resolution of the 60,80,100,150megapixel phase one sensors. I am very close to pulling the trigger on a iq3 80 because I want that large CCD sensor and the 55mm lens. The only thing great I know about Phase One is the colors on the CCD sensors.

I do portrait photography, I own Pentax 645z for 8 years and never thought about switching and I was given GFX 100 from Fujifilm to test it,good camera with fancy features but image quality and skin tone I preferred Pentax 645z then after some time I had a chance to use Phase one XF body + IQ350 back, with 2 lenses, Schneider Kreuznach 150mm LS f/2.8 IF and 35mm f3.5 both were blue ring versions, used them for a while, regardless of the weight and price, the skin tone is unmatched and sharpness at widest aperture!! Crisp sharp with shallow DOF, for outdoors, leaf shutter helps me a lot while using strobe light on the subject to add depth and dimension with light and shadow and dimming down the background or ambient light at the same time to make the subject pop out in camera, I don’t mind the weight, I shoot indoor on a tripod, I don’t mind the single auto focus, AF-r does the job, I am a photographer after all I operate tools, I have to be creative, and figure out solutions while photographing if I face problems, I make images the way I want to convey a story, but I can’t compromise the image quality, I can say tools don’t matter to me as a beginner or amateur photographer but after experience and become serious about photography then tools matter when I know what I want.

@@Saeedalamriphoto Excellent response. Only about 9 months late.😄 I purchased a Phase One XF kit with IQ280 & 150mm 2.8, 55mm blue ring, 110mm, 80mm silver ring. Being a 9 year Pentax 645D owner, I wanted the 80mp CCD sensor.
