I’m a jazz pianist and I don’t think about any of this, I just know the keys that make it sound good. Learning by ear harmonizations and how melodic lines function are the most important parts

True. Dorothy is a classical trained pianist too. I think that both jazz and classical at their best are --- at their best. For example, twinkle can certainly shine when somebody takes it to a different level in classical/modern form. The same can be said for jazz --- at the highest form. Dorothy's jazz impro one was very nice too.

Tbh the comparison is not fair because you could make the classical version sound better with a hard classical version.
