Exactly. With one team per confederation it’s more than enough. Sure, those teams can have the opportunity to show their strength against other confederations, but at the end, look at the winners of the last decade or so…. This is basically a tournament made to be won by Europeans (if they take this tournament slightly seriously) So imagine having more European teams….. what’s gonna happen with the rest of the teams from other confederations?? In a bad day, sure, any team might be able to beat an European team. But under this new format, you will have to defeat more than just one European team. So the odds are even smaller. It’s really rare to have multiple surprises in a club tournament.

For this all to work, give players a Minute or Game Cap. 40 games = 3600 minutes. Forcing managers to play entire roster and academy players. Actually with a few regulations, it might be really positive for younger players, especially english academy players.

As someone who watches football weekly/twice a week depending on scheduleing and broadcasting. I have never even knew this is a thing nor that this match is coming up. Until today. Ehm... might be an honour to play and all but i dont really care personally. i am sure some will watch and its great for smaller participants to show up and do something but as someone who is already fed up with how much games there are on that i do not have access to because i dont have money for x y z and t broadcaster its a bit of a "meh if its on then i guess i can see it if i am free but i wont care to make time for it"

Thats like a supercup, you have the champions league winner vs europa league winner but also the winner of the cup vs the winner of the league. Most of these games are more of a preperations for next season than anything else.​@borebos4831 but the club worldcup exists for more then 15 years and it's every year, while the champions league winners only play from the semi final the rest of the continents play more games. I think the club worldcup is great for the other continents to make some extra money

I am afraid to say that i am still going to watch the tournament despite all the complaints, this is a blow to the super league, Arsen Wenger was right that if FIFA does not create this tournament the clubs will participate in other tournaments and FIFA will not make money, basically FIFA is jealous that big teams tour the world by playing international club games in preparation for the new season and making money, so FIFA want their mafia cut hence the creation of this tournament, brilliant move by FIFA well played Wegner.

Pep is right and of course its more difficult for players thats why we're already witnessing so many injuries and long term injuries but as he said what else we could do but if FIFA/UEFA they're all up to it for more and more games throughout the year so at least they should now give more flexibilities to the clubs i mean clubs should be allow to have more players extra players in the squad or something like this to avoid injuries to save Footballers careers

The Fifa Club World Cup should be every year. Only the winner of the Champion League and run up. Should play in an 8-team knockout stage. A simple 3 round knockout stage. Last 8, semi-final and final. Three games only. Otherwise defending FFIFAClub World Cup champion has an automatic place with the other 7 winner from their Champions League Cup. If the Fifa Club World Cup Champion win the Champion League again. Their extra place should go to the run-up finalist. They have been guaranteed a place in the Fifa Club World Cup? You're betting too much, just because one part of Europe isn't interested or less interested doesn't mean the rest of the world won't be. Yes views won't be the same as el classico or a champions league semi final, but it'll easily be up there with views in the same bracket as a champions league quarter final. I look at it as it's finally time we've had clubs from around the world getting their limelight instead of focusing only on the premier league or barca or real. Imagine playing 1 champions league in 20 years where all the clubs over the whole world are participating in, how amazing would it be if we would see city play against fluminese at brasil, or seeing real playing somewhere in africa against the crazy supporters of wydad casablanca, I'd love to see that. Actually not. If you win the champions league you’re the best in the world. Club football is not the same as nations football. Sure, there used to be great rivalries between South Americans vs Europeans back in the day. But in recent times, the difference it’s huge. There’s not a single team from other confederations that could be in the best 10 or 15 teams in the world. All the best teams are already playing in just one confederation (Uefa). And most of them in the UCL. Sure, you may have a few top notch teams in the Europa league…. But that’s it. Even without competing against other confederations, we all know European football is miles ahead any other confederation. This Wc Club, doesn’t proof anything. Just look at how irrelevant and pointless is the current format of the WC club…. It’s already a tournament vastly dominated by Europeans.

The World Club Cup has never been more than an exotic form of the Super Cup. Something you expect Real Madrid to win and don't really pay attention to.
