Dr, Rajiv Misquitta attended medical school at State University of New York (SUNY) Downstate and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of California, Davis Medical Center where he later served as a chief resident. He was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha honors medical society. He is board-certified in Lifestyle Medicine by the American College of Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM). He was listed in Sacramento Magazine's 2017 top doctors list which is generated from a peer survey. Dr. Misquitta also served as the past president of the Sierra Sacramento Valley Medical Society (SSVMS).
After an epiphany twelve years ago, Dr. Misquitta switched to a plant-based diet. He is a plant-based chef and has promoted plant-based eating at numerous venues in Northern California, which have included community events and medical centers.
Dr. Misquitta has an interest in exercise science and is certified as a personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports medicine (NASM) and is a yoga instructor (RYT 200).

Wonderful presentation - “nutrition can stop disease at its source” yes! Thank you got this video. I’m sharing it with my husband who is very high risk for heart disease. Hoping it inspires him.

Also, I think it's important to tell people that after 1-3 weeks on a WFPB, SOS-free diet one no longer misses the old diet. It took me only a few days, and now I have no desire for fat and sugar laden foods, and I used to be a food addict. What I learned from Chef AJ is that the more dark greens one eats, the less cravings one has, and that has been so true for me. I would never have believed it unless I'd experienced it, being the skeptic I am.
