This guy says special category status is given to Telangana n thus, giving it to Andhra. Telangana was never accorded such thing. He also says indirectly that Bihar is eligible given revenue generating mining sector went to Jharkand. This is the same for AP as the revenue generating Hyderabad went to Telangana. Finally, it totally ignored the fact that the special category status is pre-condition or promise made by the central government inorder to pass the bi-furcation bill. So, eligibilty criteria must not be applied though AP still meets some of the conditions

Andhra Pradesh do not need special category status till a life time,it just needs special status till capital is built-maybe 10years,which is wrong doing on part of central government.In bifurcation of all other states regions without capital demanded a separate state contrary to Andhra Pradesh.If special status is given on Per capita income Bihar would have gotten way before,What non sense is he talking

How is he saying that there is no case for "special status" to Andhra Pradesh. It was a promise made in Parliament in order to bifurcate erstwhile Andhra and make more prosperous Telangana as a seperate state

These are not the only parameters that should be the criteria. That was true for hilly states. But here the demand is only to develop a capital which the state has lost twice. Once with Madras partition and now with Telangana partition

This is the hypocrisy of so called economist, who dont know the ground reality of Southern states like Andhra, their will be no need for Special status for the state if its not for the unruly bifurcation of state which left the state in shambles and the eventual back stabbing by the BJP by not giving the Special status which is promised by the p.m in parliament, it's not just the financial support but also a moral boost for the people of A.P to come out of the trauma of bifurcation.

Bihar shares international border with Nepal. And falls lowest among all states in socio economic indicators. It should be given special status based on the criteria. North Bihar is flood prone and few districts has hilly terrain adjoining Nepal while south bihar has hilly terrain and lack of water.

*Neither Andhra nor Bihar needs Special Status, what is required is special attention of their governments to Focus on work than mere politics. Its political failure of failing in governance. UP has best case of Special Status with highest BPL population if Special status has to be given.*

This man didn’t make any sense. Neither did the central government. Majority of the AP citizens didn’t want to be separated. Now it’s bifurcated. Hyderabad went to Telangana. Shared capital is over. Because of the blunders of previous YCP government not 1 capital was developed, but they had plans for 3 capitals. Its economy is ruined. To top it up, how come Telangana got special status and not AP.
