This feels like it's part of the divide and conquer rhetoric we have been hearing for years now by those who would claim to be righteous, but use terms like "stop Asian hate" as a way to divide us into groups. The hyper focus on one group will never stop bad people from doing bad things, the fact we knee jerk react to the actions of bad people proves how bad society has become, the belief that social media can yell from a far and stop the actions of literal bad people is a dream that will never come true. It's like Michelle Obama on social media saying "Bring back our girls", it did nothing but virtue signal and give herself clout as well as giving the terrorist group involved the desired name recognition they were after, but everyone praised her for it because of the "group" she apparently is apart of and represents. These are the times we live in, I know you're not part of this nefarious system of fake activists which co-opts words like "hate" for their own advantage and agenda, but the truth is many do use the current societal environment for nefarious reasons and they are unapologetic about it, hiding behind the virtue and clout from pretending to oppose hate while using that same energy to hate against others. Very few will see the difference of what you're doing when you divide us into groups, "Asians", like this. I can get behind a term "stop hate", but I will not support anyone in this current climate saying these words only for specific groups as if one group deserves their turn and then another group deserves their turn. I think it's part of the problem, that's just me, that's just my opinion, that's from years of obsessing over what I have seen as the destruction of the west by liars and cheats who pretend to care and have intentionally infiltrated our youth, brainwashing them into believing it's okay to be violent in the pursuit of peace (the peace they talk about is a "peace" that only they get to define, using slippery language). Take this how you will, I know you aren't part of the problem, but I don't think giving Asians their turn, so to speak, helps the problem in general of a polarized society who is thriving off of how we all divide ourselves into categories, races and classes. Here's the loose logic of all this, it turns out that the Boulder shooter is from Syria, but he looks white therefore he IS white (apparently). But wait a tick, he's from Syria thus he is Asian and there's a "Stop Asian hate" movement happening at the moment. So which "Asian" are you talking about? I have a strong feeling it doesn't include the White Asians, that the "righteous activists" mob have claimed now exist out of thing air where these whites' aren't "Asian", they're just white so they can divide whites up from other categories like Blacks, Latinos, Asians in order to claim white supremacy. Just wrap your head around that logic. Also which "Asians" are you referring to? Because I know of a lot of sub continent and middle eastern people who might raise an eyebrow as to what your definition of Asian is. Thus the consequences of dividing us into categories like race. This is why I can't support you on this and I'm not surprised you got a backlash on social media.

The one thing though that I don't want people to feel like they need to do, is apologize on behalf of there race. On a twitter post, I had a presumably white individual apologize for something they did not do. I don't want to see apologies from anyone except for the people who actually do the stuff or say the stuff. Progression and change is more important than apologizing. Nobody needs to apologize on behalf of their race.

One of the best solution to this problem is GRATEFULNESS. We have to understand that there are people, countries who have it 10x worse than us. The low income in our country is wealthy compare to those in 3rd world countries who earn >$500 a month. And alot of them are happier than those who make higher income. We have to teach people GRATEFULNESS which I don't hear alot of people talk about especially our leaders in this country 🙏

As a white south african living in reversed apartheid where corrupt government spur on hatred and destruction, you sometimes find yourself with feelings of hatred towards blacks. This is hard to admit because this is not how I was raised. The hatred comes from watching destruction, corruption, torture and murders on the news. With great effort, I have to remind myself that, just as I was not apart of the horrific things and ideas of my government years ago, so too are not all blacks apart of the ideas of the government today. Your channel takes the effort away. Your channel takes the hatred away and brings perspective and peace in my heart. Your channel reminds me to love and reminds me that news only shows one part. There are good people and bad people within all races. To hate everyone of a race for a group in that race’s wrong doing is a mistake. It is my mistake. Thank you for your videos that brings love back into my heart and wipes colour out of my mind. Love for others.

This was a horrible thing for sure, but this is definitely deeper than it's being presented as. The killer was mentally disturbed, lonely, and had a porn addiction. It clearly wasn't race focused because three of the people he killed were not Asian, two being white, and one being Hispanic. The media is creating conflict between groups of people by focusing on race. I think it would be better to step back and look at this situation from a mental health standpoint.

The main problem with this take that is pointed out to me over & over is that changing why these people were attacked makes it seem like the reason they were attacked is not enough. As if people don’t care that they were attacked because of where they worked if they can make a point because most of them were of one race. Who should be concerned? Asians or massage parlor workers? Say there was a teacher at a school with a large Asian population & he molested six thirteen year old girls, five of whom were Asian. Should we only talk about protecting Asians from sexual assault or all minors? Did this person target Asians because their race or because they were the most easily available? (Neither of which is okay but why confuse the true issue?) I know a lot of people are happy that the media is finally beginning to cover the racism Asians have dealt with for decades but, it is frustrating that they are still only covering the most sensational cases & not the everyday cases that often occur in areas where witnesses don’t typically come forward. Those cases seem to still not matter to anyone. You may be very sincere & not deserve any hatred but.... so many people are just burnt out on the fake sincerity of the (blank) lives matters movements while they destroy our neighborhoods & communities & livelihoods & push the very separatism that we do not want to bring back..... ever. As I said, I’m sure you don’t deserve the hate but hopefully this kind of helps make people’s frustration more understandable. If not with you, with the baloney they typically get from other people that push those same ideas. Hey, you seem like a great guy, be the change you want to see right? Keep it up!

I think you are misguided but with the right message. Asian hate (like you mentioned) comes mostly from upper class, colleges, because diversity quotas have backfired, and the la riots. This is where the most damage has happened to asian communities and families. Ive noticed bigotry and racism against asians alot (locally for me it was loa). But bigotry and words and memes dont hurt quality of life, physical harm does. Trying to stop hate through authoritarian means is something i very much disagree with. The best way to stop hate is merge cultures, not make jokes taboo. Make those jokes, cuz everyone else makes those jokes about everyone else. The more you give them verbal immunity, the more alien they will seem (for those without contact to the actual people). I dont disagree that this is wrong, that this is a hate crime, that this needs to be changed, that this isnt a cause worthy of action or a voice. I disagree with out some go about trying to impliment change. I love what you do, i love the fact you are community focused no matter what on all topics and the fact you are completely against hate across the board. I love you bro and i hope civil discourse can return to the main stage, so we can figure out how to solves these obvious issues instead of name calling and fact denying (honestly its rampant on both sides)

hey thanks for the video; just my two cents since yours is one of few that even desire to look at the subject. the violance against asian americans just owes to the recent radicalisation that would have been prevented in a responsible culture. the core of the racism is promoted by america's conservatives and its media, and it stems from racial narcissism of american whites; the elements of such are evident from the insults and the ridiculing of asians that pervade amrican culture, denying dignity, basic respect, and acknowledgement as human beings, which trickle down and propagate through everyone that american culture pervades. When fellow minorities such as black americans engage in racially targeted attacks against asians, generally young blacks, it is actually a phenomenon in which the aggressor itself is a victim of its own racism and does not have a sociological framework where an individual of another race being prsently targeted should be treated with such respect, which the aggressor has scant examples to draw from. When news reports on such events, the aforementioned conservatives jump on the instnaces to confound the source of phenomenon to the attributing racism to black americans or whatever would be convenient
