My anxiety and depression would get so bad, I actually prayed for death! Trauma as a child. So many different things! I used to be a good hard worker. I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome. It still knocks me around hardcore. I want to work but I can only a few hours and then I drop. I keep praying for a miracle. There is written if you pray and ask what you want and if you will trust it, that you will get it, then you will surely get and I also prayed to God that karan could be saved. And now finally he believes in Jesus and I got what I want this was the first miracle of my life. He believes because nowadays the world is falling and Jesus told that it will take place before rapture,then I sowed my bro some bible future prediction that is happening, that day he believed this prediction, and he told these things makes him scared. I have to say that even Jesus was brought to tears with what this world brings so did Job. To say that you do not have the right faith is wrong. It is how you ask God to help and how you listen and react to help you through your trials. Infact many of the greats struggled with great heart ache struggle and pain and had a hard time. I'd like to start by saying I really love this channel and I love your preaching style. However, this particular video made me question my Christianity. I suffer from mental health disorders. Though I love God, I have a chemical imbalance that causes me to have problems in my life. Everyone slips and falls. But when you are Christian, it changes the way you handle those mood changes. Before I was Christian, I would become very suicidal. Now, I have the knowledge that there is a reason for my suffering and like it says in the video when I come across situations where I can become depressed, I deal with them on a different more positive way. I know that o have to fight these feelings for the glory of the Lord. That God is opening and closing doors for the better good of my life. To bring me closer to him. I no longer feel suicidal. But I do still have mood changes and problems. I have a medical issue and chemical issue that causes me to feel this way. And I need to take my medication. But instead of succumbing to my illness, I try to do everything my doctor tells me. I try to do things to lift me up for the glory of God which helps me too. I think that this video means to say that you will not be free of tribulations, because God does say that you will have tribulations but you will overcome them just as Jesus has overcome them. Please, don't feel bad because you may suffer from mental health issues. I felt bad after watching this at first, but I really thought about what the preacher was trying to say and I understood after some thought. God is always with you even in your darkest times. There is a purpose for your life. God loves you dearly and just because you may have a chemical imbalance does not mean you are not Christian. It does mean that you can change how you react to things. You can let go and bring your problems to Jesus. And God will wipe every tear from your eyes. It will get better. God always is victorious no matter what. And I think this is what the preacher is trying to say. Again I just want to say I really love these videos and I just wanted to share from the mind of a mentally ill person who is also a Christian. God bless.

I have fought depression almost all my life. I will be 72. I hav had alot of really bad things happen to me. But I fought it by keeping busy and. Jesus help. The devil was going to get me. I always thanx Jesus for a roof over my head and food on my table and always remember there r millions of people worse off than. Thank my Lord Jesus for everything I have in Gods name. I was waking up from sleeping I was not yet fully awake and I heard God speak to me and He told me the Bible verse romans 8:28. I immediately read it and was so blessed but I better understand it now. I suffer from mental illnesses and had significant childhood trauma. I became a Christian at 17 but back slid over the years and did very bad things like abortion😢 I have been drawing closer to God lately. I need the Lord. Now I know fully why God gave me that verse. Wow. So profound.

I was diagnosed with severe depression, anxiety and insomnia and was on alot of medication, up to 20 pills a day. Nothing was working. At my lowest point, after many suicide attempts, I cried out to God and in an instant He healed me and set me free of all my mental issues. This was more than 10 years ago, today I am a pastor and in the ministry full time. Praise God for He is truly good.

Understand that God commanded us not to sin but yet there are many in this world who are foolishly believing that they can never stop sinning. So just because someone claims to believe in Jesus it certainly does not make that person a Christian nor does it even make them a true believer since even demons also believe. “Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness.” ‭‭I John‬ ‭3:4‬ ‭NKJV “And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7:23‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ Realize that if you were truly living by the Holy Spirit then it would be impossible for you to sin since you would now be guided by the Spirit of God who is Holy and pure and who cannot sin. Since you can no longer sin then it would be impossible for you to ever get sick since scripture relates that sickness only comes from sin and the devil. In Deuteronomy 28 God related His blessings for those who would obey Him and the curses that will occur on anyone who chooses to live in sin and disobedience. Sickness is definitely listed as a curse and it clearly reveals that you are a sinner who lacks knowledge of scripture since you are disobeying God. “If you do not carefully observe all the words of this law that are written in this book, that you may fear this glorious and awesome name, THE Lord YOUR GOD, then the LORD will bring upon you and your descendants extraordinary plagues-great and prolonged plagues-and serious and prolonged sicknesses. Moreover He will bring back on you all the diseases of Egypt, of which you were afraid, and they shall cling to you. Also every sickness and every plague, which is not written in this Book of the Law, will the LORD bring upon you until you are destroyed.” ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭28:58-61‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ Now God made it very clear that He would remove sickness and disease from anyone who did not sin and who would obey what He commanded in scripture. REALIZE THAT THERE IS NOT EVEN ONE SCRIPTURE THAT EVER RELATES THAT A SINNER BELONGS TO GOD OR THAT A SINNER IS A CHILD OF GOD. Believers who are suffering with a sickness, a disease or a disability are not comprehending what scripture is relating and this is why have allowed sin and the devil to destroy their lives. They do not understand the blessing that Jesus provided for mankind since Jesus restored what we had lost in the garden of Eden. Psalm 107:17. “Fools, because of their transgression, And because of their iniquities, were afflicted.” Know what this means? First transgression, it means an act that goes against a rule, a law or a code of conduct. Next iniquity, it means a wicked act or thing, sin. Finally, affliction, it means something that causes persistent pain or suffering. Translated it is saying that you are a fool if you do not follow God’s laws and commands and you go and sin because you will then have pain, suffering and sickness.‬ Now let’s glance at a few things that Jesus related to us in the New Testament. “Jesus said to him, “Rise, take up your bed and walk.” And immediately the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked. And that day was the Sabbath. The Jews therefore said to him who was cured, “It is the Sabbath; it is not lawful for you to carry your bed.” He answered them, “He who made me well said to me, ‘Take up your bed and walk.’ ” Then they asked him, “Who is the Man who said to you, ‘Take up your bed and walk’?” But the one who was healed did not know who it was, for Jesus had withdrawn, a multitude being in that place. Afterward Jesus found him in the temple, and said to him, “See, you have been made well. Sin no more, lest a worse thing come upon you.” ‭‭John‬ ‭5:8-14‬ ‭NKJV Jesus said SIN NO MORE to the sick man that He healed. So if Jesus instructed the man to sin no more this then meant that it was possible for the man to get to a place where he could no longer sin. This scripture also reveals that it was his sins that caused the man’s afflictions. Next, Jesus and the apostles could heal every sick person who came to them so why was this so! It was because there is no sickness with God, there never was and there never will be since sickness only comes from sin and the devil. This means that not only was Jesus sinless but the apostles also reached a place where they had stopped sinning as well. So please do not try and reason that Paul was someone who possessed a sickness because of the thorn in the flesh scripture. If Jesus, Peter, Paul or any of the apostles could cast the sickness and demons out of everyone who came to them then what could possibly make anyone believe that they themselves could ever get sick? Could they not just remove the sickness from themselves as they did with everyone else? Plus if Paul was bitten by a venomous snake and yet it did him no harm then how could you ever fall for the nonsense that Paul was someone who could ever get sick? Now let’s take sickness even a step further and look at the paralytic man’s story as related to us in Mark 2. “But immediately, when Jesus perceived in His spirit that they reasoned thus within themselves, He said to them, “Why do you reason about these things in your hearts? Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, ‘ Your sins are forgiven you,’ or to say, ‘Arise, take up your bed and walk’? But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins” -He said to the paralytic, “I say to you, arise, take up your bed, and go to your house.” ‭‭Mark‬ ‭2:8-11‬ ‭NKJV‬ Jesus said, “Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, ‘ Your sins are forgiven you,’ or to say, ‘Arise, take up your bed and walk’? This scripture is relating to us that Jesus forgave the man’s sins and because He did, the man could now walk. So Jesus is clearly stating that it was the man’s sins that crippled him. So once again you have scripture clearly telling you that if you are someone who can get sick then it is because you are sinning. So all of this proves that a Christian can get to a place where they can no longer sin and if you are someone who can get sick or you are suffering then you are definitely no where near that place. There is no sin and sickness if you are living by God’s Holy Spirit and you are truly following God and the reason that most believers are not experiencing this blessing in their life is because they do not understand how to test the Spirits as commanded in 1 John 4. Scripture relates that the person who overcomes will inherit all things but anyone who continues in sin will only take part in the lake of fire. So if you do not overcome sin through testing the Spirits then you certainly will never experience a sick free and sinless life in this fallen world nor might you ever enter into heaven. “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.” ‭‭I John‬ ‭4:1-3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ “And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts. He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son. But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.” ‭‭Revelation‬ ‭21:6-8‬ ‭NKJV‬

Although I'm not depressed right now, I learned something new not only about depression, but also the mercy of God towards me: He really loves us and does everything to interpret his message to us. Before, I doubt myself if I can be a good leader as others, but now I can only think about my final goal with God, of course: to lead others and inspire them to do good things. I think it is a misconception that someone who is depressed cannot also experience the peace & joy that comes from God in the midst of the storm. Being close to the Lord doesn’t mean that life will be perfect, and in fact such a belief is simply re-worked “prosperity” gospel. But I would encourage all who struggle with depression to seek the Lord daily. You alone know if you are experiencing the peace & joy that comes from the Holy Spirit in your life, and that is between you and God. If there is sin in your life that is distancing you from the Lord, then that should be addressed with a heart of repentance. But being depressed is not a sin, and it cannot keep you from the love that is found in Christ Jesus. I pray that you find healing & deliverance from your depression, but never forget that God can use you even in your depression & that it can be a blessing in disguise, in that it encourages you to seek the Lord daily.

@@obladioblada8614 I apologize in advance for my outspoken opinion on this matter, but you’re wrong. God loves us in the midst of our depression, He cares for us even while we are in the storm. I know this to be true because I have also experienced the peace & joy that comes only from the Lord, in the midst of my own depression. Jesus didn’t promise us that we wouldn’t be depressed if we follow Him, what He did promise was peace and joy in our hearts. And you can still have that at the same time as being depressed. So the way I see it, it IS possible to be close to God and depressed. However, the Lord helps us carry our burdens when we seek Him and never gives us more than we can handle. In 2 Corinthians 12:7-10, Paul speaks of a “thorn in his flesh” which keeps him from being prideful, a messenger of Satan to harass him. If this is not applicable to depression, I’m not sure what is. While Paul may or may not have been depressed, the affliction of depression is certainly an example of a “thorn” in one’s flesh. And when he prayed 3 times for deliverance, the Lord said to Paul, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness” (2 Corinthians 12:9 ESV). Then, later Paul goes on to say that for the sake of Christ he is content with his weaknesses and hardships. This too is applicable to depression, as those with chronic cases of this illness (as depression is an illness) may not always be cured of it. Jesus has the power to cure it, but it may not always be in His will to do so in this life - And importantly, it is not always a lack of faith that leads people to become depressed.

8:18 IF?? Daniel, I have given my ENTIRE LIFE to God through Christ. This last year I have been left in isolation. I have repeatedly given the same prayer to God and almost every day I declare that I trust in him and that his plans are for good. I don’t think that just trusting in God is enough to delete sorrow. I remain lonesome even though I trust God with all of my heart. You mentioned Daniel, Job, and Elijah, they all loved God with their entire hearts but they also were led into depression.

I use to be depressed A LOT! But I've been doing better and I know it's because of reading God's word daily helps me get through the tough times. Also just talking to him helps. I still do get down a little sometimes though. But it's not as bad as it was before. Wanting to kill my self or hurt my self. It's only through the grace of God that I'm still here or I probably would have done it already. Thank you Lord for loving me and your blessings on me. I lost my oldest brother back in 2019 and been without a job now for two years. Can't get any work. I have applied and nothing has come of it. I t gets very discouraging. Plus! I live with my parents who are well up in their eighties and I am trying to help take care of them. It's so hard at times. It's hard seeing your parents going down right before your eyes. So you see.....I have a lot on my plate to deal with right now. Like I said before. If it wasn't for God, I'd probably be in the grave already. It always saddens me when a Christian talks about depression and anxiety like this. It's not always just about your situation. Anxiety and depression are real, definable, treatable diseases. It is a chemical imbalance in your brain. Can God miraculously cure someone with clinical depression and/or anxiety? Absolutely. Will He? Who knows? I have been living with clinical depression and anxiety for over 20 years. I have been Christian the whole time. Admittedly, I do not have *full and absolute* trust and faith in God because I am a broken sinner, living in corrupt flesh. However, that doesn't mean if I did my depression and anxiety would go away. Maybe I don't have *full and absolute* trust in God *because* of my clinical depression and anxiety? There is depression and anxiety because of your circumstances, then there are the real illnesses. This is why there is *still* a stigma surrounding mental health issues...in 2021. If you have depression and/or anxiety and it lasts quite a while and you *can't* understand why...please seek help from a professional. Pray about it, yes, but still seek help. There is no shame in asking for help.

For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. WHOEVER HAS BEEN BORN OF GOD DOES NOT SIN, for His seed remains in him; AND HE CANNOT SIN, because he has been born of God.” ‭‭I John‬ ‭3:8-9‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ So scripture clearly relates that anyone who sins belongs to the devil and whoever is born of God does not sin and cannot sin. So if you cannot comprehend what I just revealed then you are just one of the many who are lost and deceived in your beliefs and you certainly are not being guided by God’s Holy Spirit. REALIZE THAT THERE IS NOT EVEN ONE SCRIPTURE THAT EVER RELATES THAT A SINNER BELONGS TO GOD OR THAT A SINNER IS A CHILD OF GOD. Believers who are suffering with a sickness, a disease or a disability are not comprehending what scripture is relating and this is why have allowed sin and the devil to destroy their lives. They do not understand the blessing that Jesus provided for mankind since Jesus restored what we had lost in the garden of Eden. Psalm 107:17. “Fools, because of their transgression, And because of their iniquities, were afflicted.” Know what this means? First transgression, it means an act that goes against a rule, a law or a code of conduct. Next iniquity, it means a wicked act or thing, sin. Finally, affliction, it means something that causes persistent pain or suffering. Translated it is saying that you are a fool if you do not follow God’s laws and commands and you go and sin because you will then have pain, suffering and sickness.‬ Now let’s glance at a few things that Jesus related to us in the New Testament. “Jesus said to him, “Rise, take up your bed and walk.” And immediately the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked. And that day was the Sabbath. The Jews therefore said to him who was cured, “It is the Sabbath; it is not lawful for you to carry your bed.” He answered them, “He who made me well said to me, ‘Take up your bed and walk.’ ” Then they asked him, “Who is the Man who said to you, ‘Take up your bed and walk’?” But the one who was healed did not know who it was, for Jesus had withdrawn, a multitude being in that place. Afterward Jesus found him in the temple, and said to him, “See, you have been made well. Sin no more, lest a worse thing come upon you.” ‭‭John‬ ‭5:8-14‬ ‭NKJV Jesus said SIN NO MORE to the sick man that He healed. So if Jesus instructed the man to sin no more this then meant that it was possible for the man to get to a place where he could no longer sin. This scripture also reveals that it was his sins that caused the man’s afflictions. Next, Jesus and the apostles could heal every sick person who came to them so why was this so! It was because there is no sickness with God, there never was and there never will be since sickness only comes from sin and the devil. This means that not only was Jesus sinless but the apostles also reached a place where they had stopped sinning as well. So please do not try and reason that Paul was someone who possessed a sickness because of the thorn in the flesh scripture. If Jesus, Peter, Paul or any of the apostles could cast the sickness and demons out of everyone who came to them then what could possibly make anyone believe that they themselves could ever get sick? Could they not just remove the sickness from themselves as they did with everyone else? Plus if Paul was bitten by a venomous snake and yet it did him no harm then how could you ever fall for the nonsense that Paul was someone who could ever get sick? Now let’s take sickness even a step further and look at the paralytic man’s story as related to us in Mark 2. “But immediately, when Jesus perceived in His spirit that they reasoned thus within themselves, He said to them, “Why do you reason about these things in your hearts? Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, ‘ Your sins are forgiven you,’ or to say, ‘Arise, take up your bed and walk’? But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins” -He said to the paralytic, “I say to you, arise, take up your bed, and go to your house.” ‭‭Mark‬ ‭2:8-11‬ ‭NKJV‬ Jesus said, “Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, ‘ Your sins are forgiven you,’ or to say, ‘Arise, take up your bed and walk’? This scripture is relating to us that Jesus forgave the man’s sins and because He did, the man could now walk. So Jesus is clearly stating that it was the man’s sins that crippled him. So once again you have scripture clearly telling you that if you are someone who can get sick then it is because you are sinning. So all of this proves that a Christian can get to a place where they can no longer sin and if you are someone who can get sick or you are suffering then you are definitely no where near that place. There is no sin and sickness if you are living by God’s Holy Spirit and you are truly following God and the reason that most believers are not experiencing this blessing in their life is because they do not understand how to test the Spirits as commanded in 1 John 4. Scripture relates that the person who overcomes will inherit all things but anyone who continues in sin will only take part in the lake of fire. So if you do not overcome sin through testing the Spirits then you certainly will never experience a sick free and sinless life in this fallen world nor might you ever enter into heaven. “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.” ‭‭I John‬ ‭4:1-3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ “And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts. He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son. But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.” ‭‭Revelation‬ ‭21:6-8‬ ‭NKJV‬

Jewish rabbis say that there are 613 laws in the Torah. Of those, 365 are in the “thou shalt not...” category. I used to suffer from bipolar disorder with many long and hard episodes of depression. I had a lot of trauma in my life before and after I accepted Jesus. When I was young I unfortunately chose to try and run from the guilt of my sins and I didn’t trust God any more. But once I was truly born again I finally felt real joy. The peace through Jesus Christ was so healing. I am still in the beginning of my sanctification so sometimes I still feel down but I have not had a depression or mania episode in many years. I’m still learning what it means to fully surrender to God. I now have a child with Autism and that is my test. I’m so grateful to God for what he has done for me and the work he is continuing to do. I’m posting this to give anyone reading this who is caught in the grip of mental illness Hope in Jesus Christ. He is knocking and waiting to bring you peace. Psalm 23 was one I had memorized from childhood and it would always pop up in my head during my darkest moments. Gods word has power and just knowing that one Psalm helped me come to deliverance. “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil for you are with me. Your rod and your staff, they comfort me.” Psalm 23:4

I am encouraged that a guy with a psych degree would not hesitate to use Scripture to encourage a depressed person. I think weeks or days I was dealing with depression because I felt that I displeased God I'm not gonna say why I felt that way. And my mom and sister saw that I was sad and not talking much ( it was weird because I'm really talkative child ) and my mom said why are you sad is something bothering you?? I was trying to hold my tears so hard then I went to the bedroom and wiped my tears. I don't know what i feel now like I feel slightly happy but also sad because I feel like God judged me guilty I don't know. But saw a comment it said dear God please heal those hurting on the inside & going through things they can't speak.
