Studying the Scriptures requires humility and the Holy Spirit. If Adventist members cannot trust our anointed pastors who are praying for God to give them spiritual discernment then the members hearts are filled with pride. When listening to a sermon or program on complex Scriptures, we should pray and ask for the Holy Spirit to give us understanding. The Holy Spirit alerts us when we hear false teachings. Too much dissension exists in the SDA churches and many will lost. Respecting our pastors is God's expectation. Proverbs 3:5-6

Those passages are not difficult if you just read them plainly with common sense.The writers of the Bible are clear but it's your doctrine that says they are difficult and you explain them away.Your explanation confuses rather than enlightens simply because you do not believe the inspired writers of the Scriptures.
