I love this. I felt like she was my mom and she cared that I was angry. Her warm voice, touching words, and kind eyes made me feel like I am not bad and God still loves me. Thank you. I pray these notes I took will help better me.

This is a good teaching and bible based. I have been around a lot of christians and they try to make you feel guilty or like a non-christian if you admit that you are angry. Being angry is a human emotion and when it is under the control of the Holy Spirit it is ok. And, some christians beat people up with the scripture, don't let the sun go down on your anger-giving the devil a foothold. Of course nobody wants the devil to get a foothold on their life. Balance is so needed when the topic is discussed. This lady did a great job at talking about anger. Any comments are welcome. May the God of all Peace be with all of us and may He be the Lord over our emotions too.

mary wolfe hi. I just want to say your comment has meant something to me. I'm in a position in my life where I'm not sure about comitting my life to god. My sister's are Christians and I guess they want me to follow that path. I have had a situation where I swore out of anger to get back at my mum. I ended up making things worse and it resulted my sister saying that I need to sort my life out it it hurt because it is easy for her to say. She says I have to deal with my anger issues but what I didn't like is that I don't think it is her place to tell me what spirits I have to deal with within me. She has often although trying to help been harsh

08Custo: In today's world, being a christian is not the same as being a child of God. What people consider "christian" today, is not a life pleasing to God. We must become children of God. Followers of God, as dear children. A child follower their father, trusting him every step of the way, without doubt. "Christians" are followers of Christ, but not as children. Many we see in the bible followed Christ but were NOT children of God and later turned away from following Christ because they were offended in the truth he spoke. Turning to God is not a commitment but a choice we all must make. To love, honor, respect and trust God is a choice we make. The anger you expressed, you know was wrong and suffered the results of it. You were angry with your mother. This is the anger we are told to put away from us. We are no to be angry with a person. But there is an anger this is considered righteous anger. This is anger toward sin and wickedness. The passage in Ephesians 4:26-27 is speaking of a righteous and just anger. In this passage we are told to be angry, but not to sin in this anger by acting upon the anger. We are not to put our anger toward sin and evil to bed (let not the sun go down upon your wrath). Verse 27: Neither give place to the devil. To put a righteous anger to bed, letting the sun set upon this anger, gives place to the devil. When we become passive to sin and evil, we are allowing it, giving place to the devil. The passage does not say don't be angry when the sun sets or also phrased, don't go to bed angry. No, it says no such thing. What is says is "let not the sun go down" (don't put to bed) upon your anger(wrath). Christ our Saviour was very angry when he went into the temple and overturned the tables of the money changers and drove them out of the temple. He was angry with the evil they had committed in the temple. You were angry with your mother for whatever reason and sinned in that anger toward her. It was wrong and you knew then and you know now it was wrong for you to do what you did. But you know what? We all make mistakes. This is why God came in the form of man, in the flesh as Jesus the Christ, to take our punishment upon himself, because we (mankind) made a mistake, but God our heavenly Father coming in the form of man to take our punishment, basically said to man, you made a mistake but together we can fix it, let me help you fix this. Together with Christ we can fix our mistakes. Christ did not come to condemn us for our mistakes but to set us free from the condemnation and punishment we justly deserved. God the Father is saying come to me my child and we can fix this. When we make a mistake God will NOT upbraid us for the mistake, but lovingly help us to correct it. God is love, and love has mercy, and compassion. God the Father is a merciful God, who died on the cross, forgiving you for your mistakes roughly 2,000 years ago. You are forgiven, all you have to do is except God's forgiveness, turning to him in love, honor, respect and trust, putting away the old ways of sin and unrighteousness.

Thank you so much for such a wonderful teaching. After becoming a christian,I struggle with loving my own mother even when i prayed many tines to God to help me to accept and love herr.I find I have more patience and show more grace to others but there is always a sense of dislike or even anger towards her.Through this teaching i come to understand that I felt injustice because I think she is incapable of being a good mother as she loves herself more than her children. It took me so long to figure out why I was disliking her.Praise God,I know even though I cannot return back to the time and place but God is able to do so because He can transcend time and space.I ask God to restore and mend that brokenness and help me to forgive and accept her as who she is.

I have been going through frustration and anger most of my life that I react to situations in certain ways. I will often lash out and swear which I then in turn create an issue with my family. They see that something within me is not right. Which I do understand that my actions are disrespectful...but what hurts me is when they say that something is not right within me and that I over react. And say that something is spiritually wrong. Do you think I am experiencing a bad spirit?

The bible doesnt talk about the root cause of anger its just say stop being angry, how does that help? Its like telling a person who broken their leg to stop crying.

You had me until you said…”we have “men” in our families.” The modern day church is so quick to point the finger at men. As if women do no wrong. And then they wonder why men are leaving the church. Smh
