What does the Mool Mantar mean? The Essence of Sikhism - Japji Sahib Podcast

The Mool Mantar is the foundation of Sikhi (Sikhism). Mool, literally means root; the Mool Mantar describes the root of all existence and the qualities of that One that created everything. It describes what you are at your core (your soul) and what you have the potential to experience. Through experiencing these qualities, you can achieve the state of complete bliss.

at 28.11 (How can you want something you haven't experienced or seen?) -- I can personally relate to this and it makes a lot of sense. for example: I've heard stories about people's experiences through simran meditation, but I didn't fully understand what that really meant, until recently when I finally decided to practice meditation through Shabad, just really connecting to it at a deeper level and letting go of everything else-- interestingly, I was doing Ik Oangkar simran, and for a brief moment I had this experience (hard to describe), which was like "wow, okay now it makes more sense- I want to experience more of it" - Because if the 0.5% of whatever I experienced was powerful, then I can't imagine what the complete experience would be. Thank You Veer Ji and the Basics of Sikhi Sangat (brothers and sisters) for your Seva. With Guru's kirpa really, I feel blessed to be allowed to learn what I have through these few weeks from watching your videos (kind of binge-watching tbh). I'm going through a rough time in my life right now, but the moment it began (the dukh I experienced) I reached out to Guru Sahib first and since then have be trying to hold on to their palla. I was listening to Veer Harman Singh's video from not too long ago (importance of going to Gurudawara)... he said along the lines of "when we are praying, taking the time out to connect with Gurbani and engage in learning - it means Guru Sahib is watching over us," - I immediately broke down after just hearing him say that, because it reassured me that Guru Sahib is listening to my Ardaas. So once again, your very informative/relatable/emotional videos have been really helping me to even further strengthen Sikhi within me. Bhai Jagraj Singh has been a blessing for the Panth to start this beautiful way of delivering Guru Sahibs message for the youth!

Just to add to "laikh na mitayi hai sakhi" interpretations, actions to choose from are preordained, compare a king to a beggar, one is given a lot more choice

Unfortunately a lot Of us don’t even know how to pronounce / say Vaheguru correctly as per Bhai Gurdas ji Di Vaaran explanation. A lot of Punjabis don’t even know what Bhai Gurdas ji Vaaran are ! ਸਤਿਜੁਗਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਵਾਸਦੇਵ; ਵਵਾ ਵਿਸਨਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਾਵੈ। Satijugi Satigur Vaasadayv Vavaa Visanaa Naamu Japaavai | In Satyug, Visnu in the form of Vasudev is said to have incarnated and ‘V’ Of Vahiguru reminds of Visnu. ਵਾਰਾਂ ਭਾਈ ਗੁਰਦਾਸ : ਵਾਰ ੧ ਪਉੜੀ ੪੯ ਪੰ. ੧ Hence it’s not Waheguru it’s Vaheguru. English is such a poor language.
