Of course. The seas are boiling, the air is burning, I can fry a steak by placing it in the shade under a tree. Last month, the MET announced the hottest May on record since it started over 100 years ago. THis year's May was a lot cooler than the May I cam over to UK 20 years ago. This month, June, was COLD compared to almost any June of previous years within my lifetime. But I absolutely agree, it is massively hotter than it was 6 months ago. Global Warming must be true.

Londoners are living in a huge thermal mass of concrete & stone, the heat is absorbed during the day and the nights are too short to dissipate enough so it builds up. There's a reason southern european cities have more open areas in them but london wants to copy the murican model and keep building expensive phalluses which only add to the problem. The city still relies heavily on victorian era sewers because spending on infrastructure reduces shareholder dividends so adjusting to warmer seasonal temperatures is never going to happen until the roads start to melt underfoot.

Australian houses are designed around heat, the UK houses are designed to keep heat in. Also, some jobs do not do well in high heat (blame companies) such as buses, if you want to experience it, try driving your car, with 1 window open, setting 1 on your fans with AC turned off. Why only 1 fan? main fans (on buses I drive) are connected to the engine, so if engine gets warm, so does the air that comes from the ventilation system. (stops busses from overheating at cost of overheating driver/passengers)
