Looking forward to seeing the next part of Jesus dying for "all." Love that you teach all of the strongly held views without stating your bias', its easy to think these concepts are unnecessary, but our beliefs dictate our actions. Its important who we see Jesus as, and just as important as how we view His actions, or in this case, his atonement! Once again, thanks for reaching the next generation 🤌

Sin has to be acknowledged and repented of in order to receive salvation. The publican said, “Lord be merciful to me a sinner.” Salvation is not automatic. “What must I do to be saved.” We have to do something to be saved. Abraham believed God and it was accredited to him for righteousness. Abraham had to believe just like we do.

Term I would use is “free will” for describing the choice. In the nuances of words. I would say an Arminian is not doing anything to be saved, that is Jesus’ work. But rather accepting the gift or rejecting the gift.
@SincerelyHannah92 жыл бұрын
I see it as extent is universal but application is limited. As in, Jesus died to reconcile all of creation but His atonement only applies to those who place their faith in Him.

Dr. Bennett, you're very intelligent from what I can deduce. That said, given that you've put much thought into this, I personally want to know what belief you subscribe to? Arminiasm or universalism?

Splendid lecture, but please write with a font at least double the size of what you are using here! It looks puny and insignificant as it is. And I love your insightful, scholarly videos!

It all comes down to this, we can consider philosophies and logical explanations all day, it’s all vanity- and heady. God knows what He is doing even when we do not. We will NEVER have God “figured out”. To get in either corner and say this is it,period, is foolish. Also,to say that Jesus didn’t do what He set out to do on the cross but as some kind of hope or whatever is reckless. We have a choice,God has always given us that choice and He honors it even into the next life. Now does He elect and predetermine certain people? I would say yes of course, it’s in scripture! Can we “choose” or make the decision to follow Christ, I’d say yes as well,again, it’s in scripture! How we get to those places is out of our pay grade y’all. God does everything according to His good pleasure and for HIS glory. Faith is the only thing that satisfies our Lord. Let’s hold fast onto that 🙏🏼⚓️

But I beLieve Arminians also hold that they can be saved one day and reject that salvation the next day. Would you agree with that?

Great video’s my hillbilly friend. Here is a scripture to ponder. 1 John 2:2 He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world. I know the whole world doesn’t mean the whole world because God is incapable of communicating well enough for us to understand so we need theologian’s to help us.

@@HaroldZwingley I will totally agree that all means all in most cases. What about the phrase, “All roads lead to Rome”. Is that true?

🔰 There aren’t two conditions…there’s only one condition, and that’s belief. - Christ’s only condition is ‘believe’

He marveled at people's belief in scripture, not their works. He equally became aggravated with people's unbelief. So, amen to you. I'm not a Calvinist or an Armenian. I get tired of all these stupid labels and cliques. Show me "Calvinist" or "Armenian" in scripture.

What I don't fully understand about Christians studying the Bible is; they study it as if it was direct words from God. It is not. It is written by different people, with decades between, and later compiled into a book. Right?

Let's talk about the words " ALL " in Roman's 5 : 18 ...
@jolookstothestars635811 ай бұрын
I've been trying to find out what "all" means in the Greek. If "all" truly means "all". Because some say it doesn't.
@cecilspurlockjr.942111 ай бұрын
@jolookstothestars6358 it simply depends on what context it's used in .
@marilyncarlson41472 жыл бұрын
It seems that scripture says Jesus atoned for sin and in some sense He is the Savior of the world. It also seems that Jesus’ atonement is efficacious only for the elect. God is infinite and understands what took place. I am finite and trust God always does what is right. It’s a similar situation to the “sovereignty of God” and the “responsibility of man.”
@cecilspurlockjr.94212 жыл бұрын
You missed it on the second one my friend . The atonement is there regardless but one must believe to be saved , not atoned for . Atonement doesn't equal salvation .
@mrnoedahl2 жыл бұрын
I don’t believe that you can use the phrase that “Christ died for all kind’s”because that is adding something to the text that is not there. It is making an assumption rather than taking the scriptures at face value. I would think the Almighty SOVEREIGN God would make it very clear to us what he meant by using all the terms that would make it clear to us. In other words we,when reading the Scriptures, should not make any assumptions outside of what is clearly being said. Calvinist are great at doing this to scriptures that do not fit their “doctrine”. And that is tantamount to changing scriptures like the Jehovah Witnesses do. Very dangerous indeed. You don’t resolve contradictions by changing the words or word meanings.
@jolookstothestars635811 ай бұрын
I don't understand what is so hard to understand for reformed guys. Should be so simple. Jesus died to make a way for all to be saved but not all we'll have Faith in Jesus so not all will be saved simple. It's all about Faith versus works if you don't have Faith in what jesus has already done for you you do not have eternal life.

Jesus died to pay off Adam's sin Romans 5:12,18,19. Jesus ransomed the human race from the imperfection Adam had inflicted on the world of mankind. Everyone who accepts that ransom benefits from it, and gets everlasting life on earth. John 3:16. Jesus made clear that even a child could understand the things of God's Kingdom.
@billanderson14082 жыл бұрын
You made a statement "not one particular race " My question to you is how many human races did God make? Be careful what you teach.
