I have a question... What if a couple, regardless if they got married in court or church, failed to comply the necessary requirement to prove they've been married, then the gov't/state deemed the marriage invalid, in our faith though, is it still valid or not? For what I know, (exegetically) regardless if it is invalid or not in the sight of man, marriage is of God. Based on my experience in the Christian faith... There are couple of issues I have witnessed such as 1. A couple was married by a pastor who has expired license 2. another case is a guy was married (I think it was a civil marriage), failed to comply the requirements, since gov't says it is invalid, he remarried to another woman and the second time, it was a church wedding with all the necessarry requirements. (The first couple stayed with each other however they got into complex situations and issues such as having affair, etc. Now the second one, is it justifiable?) Please help me get a full grasp and understanding on this issue.

Repent of your adultery. You are still your first husbands one and only wife. Until death. Your second marriage is living in adultery due to hardness of hearts. Unless your first husband has passed away you two are still married according to Gods word in genesis.

It means divorce is barbaric even God in flesh was very disturbed by it. For how can a man/woman say they can't bear to live another day with a person they once swore to love? The lack of stigma to any of this is beyond ridiculous because if they hated the person they said they love then what of people they just know or even the ones they hate? How can you even trust such a persons character or word at that point? It's really beyond me that people don't treat divorced people as scoundrels with no honor and no shame the modernworld is beyond moronic. Of course God said forgive but divorcees can't forgive each other it's very hard not to see that divorce is the very unloving and barbaric part of humanity that God wanted to cure.

We're in a fallen state and I don't think we're capable of not divorcing. Like my ex wife lied to me about sleeping with my cousin before we married. I told her if she slept with any of my family members, we couldn't even talk anymore. She lied to me and told me she didn't, and then we got married unbeknownst to me and then we divorced. Am I wrong Because I was deceived? Am I barbaric?
