When my wonderful of wife of 57 years was dying from pancreatic cancer, I was where you are preaching. One day she was well. 1 1/2 weeks later she was with Jesus. I was angry. Worse than angry; I was outraged that God would do this. She was a Christian woman. Kind to everyone. Did all the right things. It made no sense why she would contract a rare type disease. I knew all the the right answers but in weakness I was enraged with God because He allowed this to happen. I know God forgave me and I know where she is and I know I will be with her and Jesus one day. It is very hard to love God when you know He has the power to heal and does not. To comfort you and He is so distant you can't feel His comfort. It was my Christian friends and family where I felt comforted. Now 1 month later after listening to Godly messages like this, I found comfort in the Lord. From reading His word I found peace. My advice to anyone going through similar circumstances is to immerse yourself in Biblical preaching and reading. Cry out to God He will answer your cries in some way. I don't know why He took her but I know He is good and all will work to glorify Himself. We will be rewarded in the end.

When my daughter died after 7 months of battling for her life in the world and in my faith, the Lord took her home anyway. I also became angry. But while I was angry, God never left me. I felt His presence and the Holy Spirit continually. He would not let me go, no matter how angry I was. This realizing was torture on my heart at the time. Later, the memory of Him in this dark place gave me the most humble gratitude that poured out of me in tears. He will not forsake us. Though we be faithless, He is always faithful. This ordeal was in 1998. My faith is stronger than it's ever been. My love for the Father and my Savior is greater than it's ever been. In your weakness, He is strong. Even when you doubt it. Many hugs to you. Thank you for sharing your testimony with me

Thank you for sharing this and I know likes don't mean anything but it's comments like this that need elevating as alot of Christians allow suffering to move them away from God's love and unfortunately away from God's sovereignty. I pray someone going through similar pain and loss will still hold on to God's truth that even through pain, His mercies are new every morning and He is still with us even though we may not feel like He is🙏🏽

I am happy with all the replies and testimonies. This kind of testimony is only for a christian. Only a christian can be strong enough face any eventuality. It is not because of my strength but the upholding power of love of the holy spirit. I thank God for Jesus christ who came to this earth. Imagine the situation that if we did not have the Calvery ; If Jesus did not come to this world to die; Without jesus and calvary, we cannot imagine a relationship like this. I thank and glorify him and him alone.

I'm a sinner who's been saved by grace, I'm 18 months sober and free from the tortures of alcoholism.. And I'm facing years in prison from a horrible accident that I cannot undo . I'm saved and I'm a woman of God yet I'm going to prison . .my children will be without me, my baby girl is just 6 years old.. she will be with her adult brothers and my ex husband.. (who're not saved yet) But my little girl just asked Jesus to come into her heart tonight ..praise God . And this pain of the powerlessness seems impossible.. My child cry's in anguish because she needs me her mommy .. I tell her .. it will be okay.. Because God is with us. As a human I'm overwhelmed.. as a child of the living God... I'm verbally assaulted because of my faith.. All I know is God allowed this pain so that I would turn away from my sin an turn to Him.. Lord have mercy .. whatever the price, I will serve you and seek You Lord .. My God you're here and you're going with me into that prison and you'll be with my family.. In Jesus name Amen and Amen 🙏

@@ShamelesslyRed O. k. ...Of the 613 Laws and Commands which of the 613 did Dr. G SEUSS apply? The N/T? Explain this: 1. Can Jesus prove his lineage back to David? The Pedigrees in Matthew 1:2-17 (28 names) and Luke 3:23-38 (43 names) disagree, yet both are said to be Joseph’s lineage. 2. Matthew includes 4 women in Joseph’s lineage (Tamar, Rahab, Ruth, and Bathsheba) Luke does not. The Torah counts one’s lineage only through the fathers, Genesis 5, Numbers 1:2, 17-18. 3. Who knew about the Virgin Birth? Only Matthew and Luke seem to know anything about a virgin birth. If something as miraculous as a virgin birth had occurred, it seems odd that Mark and John did not mention it in their effort to convince their readers that Jesus was who they claimed him to be. In contradiction, Paul never mentions a virgin birth (insisting he was born of a woman) even though it would have strengthened his claim if he had. See Romans 1:3 and Galatians 4:4. 4. When was Jesus born? Matthew 2:1 says Jesus was born during the time of Herod. Luke 2:2 says that he was born was born during the first census in Israel, while Quirinus was governor of Syria. This is not possible because Herod died in about 4 B.C., and the census took place in 6 and 7 A.D., about 10 years after Herod’s death. 5. Why can’t the gospel writers agree on the order in which the disciples were selected? In Matthew 4:18-22 and Mark 1:16-20, Peter and Andrew are casting nets into the sea. Jesus calls out to them and they leave their nets and follow him. Jesus then goes on a little further and sees James and John mending their nets with their father. He calls to them and they leave their father and follow him. In Luke 5:1-11, Jesus asks Peter to take him out in Peter’s boat so Jesus can preach to the multitude. James and John are in another boat. When Jesus finishes preaching, he tells Peter how to catch a great quantity of fish (John 21:3-6 incorporates this story in a post- resurrection appearance). After Peter catches the fish, he and James and John are so impressed that after they bring their boats to shore they leave everything and follow Jesus. In John 1:35-42, Andrew hears John the Baptist call Jesus the Lamb of Yah. Andrew then stays with Jesus for the remainder of the day and then goes to get his brother Peter and brings him to meet Jesus. 6. The Great Catch - Luke and John disagree when the great catch took place (see above). 7. When did John the Baptist first meet Jesus and when did he first know who Jesus was? John the Baptist’s first encounter with Jesus was while both of them were still in their mothers’ wombs, at which time John, apparently recognizing his “Saviour,” leaped for joy (Luke 1:44). Much later, while John is baptizing (John 1:29, 36) he refers to Jesus as “the Lamb of Yah who takes away the sins of the world”, and “the Son of Yah”. John’s recognition of Jesus as the son of Yah and Saviour of the world is explicitly contradicted by Luke 7:18-23 in which the imprisoned John sends two of his disciples to ask Jesus, “Are you the one who is coming, or do we look for someone else?” 8. When was Jesus baptized? Luke, who claims to be chronological (Luke 1:3), gives the impression that John did not baptize Jesus. Luke’s account of Jesus’ baptism occurs after the account of John’s imprisonment (Luke 3:20-21). John 1:25-34 indicates that John baptized Jesus before Jesus’ ministry began. 9. How many men from out of the tombs met Jesus on the shore? Matthew 8:28 says there were two men. In contrast, Mark 5:2 and Luke 8:27 record there only being one possessed man on the Gadarean shore. 10. The Pharisees come to Jesus and ask him for a sign - In Mark 8:12 Jesus says that “no sign shall be given to this generation.” In contradiction to Mark, in Matthew 12:39 Jesus says that only one sign would be given - the sign of Jonah. In contradiction to both Mark and Matthew, the gospel of John speaks of many signs that Jesus did: a. The miracle of turning water into wine at the wedding in Cana is called the beginning (or first) of the signs that Jesus did (John 2:11). b. The healing at Capernaum is the “second sign” (John 4:54). c. Many people were following Jesus “because they were seeing the signs He was performing” (John 6:2). Miracles (G4592) is also translated as signs. 11. The Fig Tree - After Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem a sees a fig tree and wants some figs from it. He finds none on it so he curses the tree and it withers and dies (Matthew 21:18-20, Mark 11:12-14, 20-21). Matthew and Mark cannot agree on when the tree withered. In Matthew, the tree withers at once and the disciples comment on this fact (Matthew 21:19-20). In Mark, the tree is not found to be withered until at least the next day (Mark 11:20-21). Since this occurred in the early spring before Passover, it is ridiculous for Jesus (especially if he is a co-Creator) to expect figs to be on the tree as they are a summer fruit! Nature cannot be punished for obedience. You have no idea what you're saying. That's obvious in your comment. Forget her not Father for she knows what she does!

Ive grieved the Holy Spirit. There were times I am not praying anymore.God restored me as years passed...the Lord used a church where the center is Jesus and winning souls and making disciples. GODS WORD is very clear on this MATTER. So than, focus your mine on GOD NOT your Preacher. 2 Corinthians 1:22 Today and always, we receive the Holy Spirit the moment we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior. When we accept Christ, God immediately seals us with His Spirit. GOD by his Spirit dwells in all true believers. I'll tell you why: because the Holy Spirit is the only way God can reach an individual. There is no other way for God to save a person except through the Holy Spirit 1Corinthians 3:16-20 that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you? If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him. For God's temple is holy, and you are that temple. The problem with God is not that He's so far away that we can't see Him. Rather, He is so close that we overlook Him.That means, if you can not find God within your self, you will not find God in any Church, building, Tabernacle,Temple or place of worship. 1 John 4:13 And God has given us his Spirit as proof that we live in Him and He in us. [ Who to Believe, GOD or any Preacher? ] 1 Corinthians 12:27 Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it.

Natasha Tretyakov He could and He will stop it.. I know he loves you. I'm not where you get immoral, no matter.. 1 God is working his purpose out, as year succeeds to year, God is working his purpose out, and the time is drawing near; nearer and nearer draws the time, the time that shall surely be, when the earth shall be filled with the glory of God as the waters cover the sea. Therefore, my beloved, just as you have always obeyed, not only in my presence, but now even more in my absence, continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling. 13For it is God who works in you to will and to act on behalf of His good pleasure. 14Do everything without complaining or arguing,…Philippians 2:12,13,14

This is the best teaching I have ever received on the holy spirit! It has given me a revelation and so much comfort amongst the many doubts and concerns I had on the topic of the Holy Spirit. I cannot thank you enough, John Piper, for the work you do in this ministry and the teachings you bring. I pray for each one of you who finds yourself here, on this video, seeking the Holy Spirit, seeking answers to your questions, that you would overflow with God's spirit. That your desire for the Holy Spirit would be so great that you thirst for him every single day; that you cannot imagine your life without him. The Spirit will empower you to carry out God's will day after day and restore you in every moment of struggle you have. Never has it rung true as much as in this very moment how truly important, how truly necessary, how truly unavoidable the Holy Spirit is in this ministry and I pray for us all that God would come into us all and completely overthrow everything in our lives to bring his greater good! Make space for him, welcome him, open your heart, your mind, your soul, your ears, your life to him!

Why? It is comforting to know he devoted his life to Christ, our only hope, and that his soul his saved and thanks to his testimony we are encouraged to persevere in the faith and we will celebrate with him and all the disciples of Christ once all is done, for eternity. It’s a blessing that the hope of the cross decreases our pain when a born again brother or sister leaves us.

I just realized that when he says Abba Father I’ve been crying this out my entire life! I was adopted by a step dad that loved my mother but resented me because of his own jealousy over my earthy father being a bully to him in high school. I cry now too at 49 years old... Abba Father... knowing the true meaning of my cry!! My earthy step dad became my dad before his death at an early age a decade ago. I thank my proper Father for that blessing and all other blessings in my life now! He never has forsaken me! He never will.I know who I’ve been crying for all my life now! I am a Christian so terrified of suffering that the fact that I have chosen this sermon to listen to this morning causes me to tremble. Did the Holy Spirit lead me to this particular sermon because I am eventually, perhaps soon, going to find out that I or someone I love will suffer the horrors of cancer? I live every day in fear of my own suffering and overwhelmed by the suffering of all creation. I believe God is sovereign over all. I know that from before the foundation of the world, he ordained all that comes to pass. Yet, I have a paralyzing fear of what future suffering He may have ordained for me and those I love. Yes. He is with us in our suffering. But suffering is still suffering, and I am constantly tortured by the fear of it. All I can pray is, please, Heavenly Father, be merciful to me. Amen

Amen!!! Yes, tell us more of our wonderful Jesus, the One the Holy Spirit was sent to reveal!! We need to hear more of the story of Jesus and His cross and blood by which people can be saved!! The Father points to Jesus, the Holy Spirit points to Jesus, the Bible points to Jesus, the Old Testament points to Jesus, the Epistles point to Jesus, the Gospels point to Jesus, the Apostles point to Jesus, and Jesus reveals the Father!! That's God's wonderful plan of salvation!! If we don't concentrate on and preach Christ and Him crucified and risen again and seated at the right hand of the Father, people will not be saved.

I have enjoyed other people, only until I tell them I’m a Christian. Then the trials begin. Social disruption, lies, deceit, attacks, job loss. But I also know these verses, but thank you today for the reminder. The unsaved don’t like the truth especially when you can tell them what is in their hearts and their schemes against you. I am consistently used as a testimony against them for the judgment. In that moment my faith is strengthened and a reminder to them that God sees all.

Seeking His voice all day long, in everything you can, is very important to strengthening the relationship. The more you get used to using discernment between His voice and that of the flesh the more confidence you will have knowing that what you are hearing is from the Lord and not your flesh. Mistakes will happen early on, learning and building upon the daily simple things in life allows you to grow into a confidence of the voice being the Spirit's leading, not of the flesh. This discernment is vital when the major issues of life present themselves, this way you stay in step with the Lord. What better place is there? This is very important to your Christian growth and maturing process and is always evolving. Hope this helps.

John Piper is good but I would recommend a pastor named Jon Courson. He’s here on KZbin. I’ve listened to many pastors and in my humble opinion he is the best I’ve found. He has a wonderful way of teaching about grace which is often a hard concept for new believers to grasp - at least it was for me - I really struggled with an internal “need” to work for my salvation - but we don’t work for it - salvation is entirely a gift of God through Jesus Christ.

I have a mental illness. I could SO MUCH identify with what Pastor John talks about in placing themselves in the position of persecution. I have recently come out of a period where I was most concerned with persecution in a healthy mental state. For so long, I did not tell people I was having these thoughts. There seemed to be a constant, medium level of anxiety I was experiencing on a daily basis for more than a week. BUT, because I have learned to rely on the Christians in my life including my family, my pastor, and my (Christian) therapist, it was through exposing this fear that I had a very real and true qualitative breakthrough from fear to joy. I have had MANY nights spent with paranoia and anxiety about being hurt physically in unspeakable ways for my faith or wrongs from my past. But by the grace of God, he calls to me saying, "Cry out to me!" I can do no such disobedience to NOT give these things to the Great Father. There was a storm in my life for a very long time. Years past I called myself an atheist so that I would not be persecuted. To make a long story short, because God put it in me to seek after Truth, God revealed Himself to me. At that point, it was not that I no longer had these intrusive thoughts of persecution, but God did a good work in me in that I knew it would be worth it in the long run EVEN IF these things happened to me. I became resolute in my faith. Nothing was going to rock me from my Salvation IN HIM. Now, I know God will give me whatever grace that is required for me to go through whatever God has for me in life and in death all back to life. Glory be to God who reigns on High in Authority and justice in all he sees and does and the mercy he gives to those which none is deserved. Thank you Jesus, may you rule and reign from neverending to neverending. Amen.

Powerful change! Gives a man like me hope that i too can find my peace in Christ. Our stories on mental illness is painful, but God is showing me a way out as I seek the holy spirit and let God build up a new creation within me. I was angry in the past and so fearful of life and my role of who I am to this world. Nobody could understand me my cries - but they were not Christian followers of Christ, so my council became my own war without God. It was a losing battle that knocked me down time and time and time again. I would throw on some Korn in anger, but those guys all found Christ and in their salvation I questioned their peace. I questioned their faith, but in the end questioning their love of Christ made me seek him myself. So I stand new in Christ and starting to understand HONOR for GOD is the power of growing in spirit and in growth his will comes upon our lives. One step forward and his will shines more within me.
