I was curious to hear what a Bitcoin Strategic Reserve would even be, to hear what danger it would protect against. I get the oil, medical supplies and rare earth mineral stockpiles, but what's the use case for stockpiling Monopoly money? Color me shocked when I find the idea, in full, described as: 1: buy a bunch of Bitcoin. 2: HODL and never sell. 3: without ever selling somehow pay off the national debt when Bitcoin goes 10,000x sometime between tomorrow and never. 4. Don't ask how the US will pay off its debt if we gamble away all our money at the casino. Seriously, is this it? Our national policy sounds like r/wallstreetbets degenerates pumping and dumping GameStop in 2021. That will be next: US Strategic Meme and Penny Stock Reserve.

I am not hearing a balanced take on the challenge anymore. I really wish media could discuss things in good faith while constantly attempting to check biases.
