I studied biology, so both the technical and financial aspects of crypto are not easy for me to understand (apart from the obvious aspect of all hype, scams and no real use case), but you are doing an awesome job of making it more digestible for outsiders like me. Plus you are brilliant and I love your sense of humor. Thank you very much for what you are doing, it has an impact. The issue with the type of foresight you guys have is that sometimes it takes ages for the rest of the world to see (and act on) what you can clearly see. But that doesn’t mean it is futile to point it out time and time again or that it gets repetitive to your audience. For example, how long it took for the general public to see that Musk is absolutely unhinged? It is widely accepted only now (let say past month), though it has been apparent for years, but people who do not care about Musk just weren’t generally interested in digging deeper. Well informed crypto criticism is currently still a bit niche topic, but it can get more mainstream with the next big crash or next big scam. Thank you and I hope you won’t give up anytime soon, I would really miss your reporting and discussions - it gives me a hope that the whole world hasn’t gone completely crazy yet.

Names are nice, but the addresses of the collaborators need to be published as well. They've already financially destroyed many millions of people. Lots of those are old guys who, scanning the wreckage of their lifelong work and plans, just might decide that they don't have a helluva lot to lose any more.

Thank you for your work breaking down what’s going on and not being afraid to stand up. For anyone the US who find this concerning, call your Rep and Senators (5 calls makes it easy) and tell them that while you want more efficiency and oversight, if they don’t take more immediate and forceful action to protect our financial systems and national security, you will make sure that someone runs against them in their next primary and that they lose that election.

Think you vastly underestimate how fast your country runs from "rot economy" to full on spin dictatorship. Coming from Russia, it is eerie how similar in principal the events in which your oligarchy takes control of the media and government institutions. And while it maybe true there's no grand plan, no ideology and the only thing that governs those rich freaks is pure opportunism and egomania. You should not discount the fact that somehow all those super-rich people congregate toward the same vector-strategy: to spin bull and vile, to take control over resource flow and to kill opposition. In Russia, the court system was first to fall. Then media companies. Then government agencies and enterprises. Then the killings started and then war. USA seem to intend to speed-run this course. You better find your Alexey Navalni and start to build crowd-sourced opposition projects fast. Whatever you'd do, media outreach is super important.

Jessica Yellen, an independent journalist, put out a great video out on Insta about stepping up and taking action, including calling the offices of your elected officials and asking them to use simple language that shows they are listening to people’s concerns, what harms are being done (like pointed out near the end, how many people were wiped out while the kinds of people being installed into the fed gov were laughing all the way to the bank), & what can be done to stop things from getting worse.

@ I get that and mostly agree - we’re going to vote for people who support most of our priorities. However, elections aren’t frequent enough for officials to know what the majority of voters support. On a day to day, it’s who is making the most noise. For example, I’m in a state that had a big school you-know-what last year. While the polls afterward showed that like 70% support safe storage and red flag laws (including most R voters and even law enforcement), 2A activists are consistently making calls after these events and telling officials if they vote for ~any~ reform (or even stop loosening things more), then they tell them they will make sure that legislator gets primaries in their next election. If we want officials to stand up, we need to let them know that we have their backs if they do and if they don’t, that we’ll be the ones making sure they don’t get re-elected. (This doesn’t even get into the $ aspect but we need reform there too to make it hurt both their popularity and their funding for elections).

The incredible irony of it is that his content sounds exactly like the kind of slop that used to come out of GPT-3. He has a podcast (absolutely packed with ads) where he repeats the same trite phrases peppered with random insults all and all over again. He could be completely automated and nobody would even notice.

Question I wonder how Ed would answer: Yes, tech criticism is growing, but do we risk the critique becoming more theater and aesthetics and less action? Is it just we get more "Black Mirror" clones and like so much wrong with our current political economy, the masses become satiated by content and art which captures discontent?
