I watched my fish spit them out and act weird afterwards

Those are some gorgeous cpds. I can't prove it but I think my bristoenose pleco ate all the flatworms I had or they just died off.

Besides my favorite snails, is it best to also remove fish AND plants? Or is it safe to leave plants in since planaria often hitchhike on them (and perhaps fish to an extent?)? I own a couple of mini ponds from large plastic pots.

How did you get rid of the planaria?
@PrestonJohnAquatics3 жыл бұрын
This is how I do it if I want them 100% gone. Fenbendazole - I use the safe-guard Canine Dewormer 4 gram pouches (each pouch treats a 40 pound dog) Treatment #1 - Fenbendazole • Water change with a gravel vacuum. • DOSE: 0.01 grams per gallon (Requires a 0.000 gram scale). Treatment #2-A - Fenbendazole (48 hours after Treatment #1) • Add the same dose as in Treatment #1. • Wait 48 more hours. Treatment #2-B - Fenbendazole (48 hours after Treatment #2-A) • Water change (25%) with a gravel vacuum. • Add fresh activated carbon to remove remaining medication. • Wait 24-72 hours before removing the activated carbon.
