Dagny, I know the couple that owned that property. They belong to my church. They are still very much alive, just older and needed to move to somewhere where they could get more care. The lady is a true animal lover, she's a member of our women's group and would tell us stories of her horses, dogs, cats and even a pet opossum. She's amazing, she used to visit nursing homes and play her guitar for sing alongs there. I'm so glad someone as nice as you bought some of her collection. It's great to know that they will go to some of your followers, who have to be great people too. I'll have to try and buy something from you to have as a memento of her.

As you know, I just love Barney. I wasn't clear on whether or not you bought the McCoy piece. I recently bought a very ugly McCoy cookie jar for $3.00. Turns out yo be valued at around $2,000! That is hard to believe but I'll give it a shot! Happy thrifting. 😊

We used to call them box lots. Some autioneers would sell choice of an item out of box then what was left. I had a food wagon serving at aution although i seemed to be able to get out to bid. 😊

I believe the small animals that look similar to Artesania Rinconada are actually made in Peru. They might be from the Leps company.

Heck of a nice auction haul! Love the 2 mesh purses, the circular opening one may be the older of the 2. The little girl figure may also be German or Austrian rather than Japan, so cute. There were other brands of little critters that came on paper but most of the Siamese cats look like Hagen Renaker. Thanks for the video Dagny.
