What emotion triggers adrenaline? Fear. Fear triggers adrenaline.
A few other things that trigger adrenaline are:
• Exercise
• Excitement
• Physical threat
• Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar)
What does adrenaline do?
• It increases the heart rate
• It increases sweating
• It causes vasodilation of the lungs and heart
• It makes the body stronger
• It makes the body more alert
• It increases energy
• It triggers ACTH
Both adrenaline and cortisol prepare the body for a stress state. The difference is that adrenaline takes seconds to kick in, and cortisol can take a few minutes. Cortisol is also more long-lasting, where adrenaline is more short-lived.
Short-term exposure to adrenaline can be a good thing. However, chronic exposure to too much adrenaline can be very bad for the body.
Chronic exposure to too much adrenaline can:
• Burnout the adrenals
• Affect the heart
• Affect your mood
• Decrease your stress tolerance
• Prevent relaxing sleep
Adrenaline is like an on switch for stress. Unfortunately, there’s basically no off switch. If the adrenals are chronically stimulated, over time, the adrenals tend to stay on and can’t turn off easily. This can cause someone to have stress and poor sleep. It can also activate cortisol and can even cause belly fat.
Action steps:
• Turn off stress
• Take vitamin B1, vitamin D3, and vitamin C
• Sleep more
• Take long walks
• Consume a low-carb diet
Hypoglycemia can trigger adrenaline. Insulin can cause hypoglycemia. A high carbohydrate triggers insulin. So, a high carb diet can keep your body in fight or flight mode, activating adrenaline and creating a situation where it can be hard to lose weight. A low-carb diet may help restore normal levels of adrenaline.

The best doctor EVER! While people are being ignored, symptoms being treated with drugs, no nutritional knowledge within medicine, people not changing things because stress is drugged instead of knowing what life changes to make, people are just getting sicker without any problem solving by those in charge of the knowledge of our health. Treating 'stress' is a huge money-spinner. Wellness is not offered. Dr Berg comes in, tells us what's going on and what to do is short bite size chunks that is easy to understand. You're amazing!!!

Eric Carve I’m not sure. He ran the ACTH and cortisol levels and they were in normal range so he’s not sure. I did the 24 hour urine test collection and there were significant amounts of epinephrine metabolites so he thinks the panic attacks are linked to that and not mental.

Yeah, first to comment. Dr. Berg, I've been doing IF and Keto for 4 weeks and lost close to 10lbs. I'm off my Arthritis med. by doing fresh ginger, tumeric, lime, and small amount of apple to sweetened it up.

Working at a fast paced factory where adrenaline is a blessing and a mandatory requirement ... adrenaline I have found as a healthy amazing attribute to our entire well being ..non adrenaline people are annoyed by adrenaline...I'm not being rude I'm being factual ...but once the truth is out that 3 minutes of cardio today means tomorrow you will want more . adrenaline uplifts all aspects of life trials and tribulations or removes them by the truth .

Quick question about intermittent fasting. I’m doing a 4/20 - 5 days a week on a keto- like diet ( high fat, moderate protein, low carbs ) I do incorporate more veggies into my diet than most Keto dieters, and in doing so I eat more carbs buffered by fiber. My question is on the weekends I’m still eating a Keto diet but my fasting goes from 4/20 to a 10/14. It’s too difficult when I’m around family who constantly eats despite trying to get them onboard with intermittent fasting. It’s like talking to a wall. Am I killing my progress on the weekends?

My stress has made me 100% disabled. I hardly sleep, eat, lost my gallbladder, panic attacks/anxiety, pain and the worth complete utter exhaustion. I can live with all those EXCEPT the exhaustion. I also found out after a surgery that I was “freakishly tolerant” to all opiates and other legal drugs when I was once hyper sensitive to opiates and medication. I’m at the end of my rope. I’m looking into finding a country that self euthanasia is legal. What’s wrong with me? Can I be fixed..?

I've had one kidney removed as well as the adrenal gland, so I've only got one. Having only one, does it cause weight gain and health issues?
