1:28 i would be very interested if there was a 4th support quest that didnt exactly give you gold like the others but instead fully upgraded into a wardstone variant. Wardstone almost always fills the final slot of support and its just a stat stick that can hold multiple control wards. feels like a waste for something all supports are gonna go anyway

You should consider Sightstone. Great item for a support. Also lets you place down 6 wards (4 + 2) instead of the usual 4 (3 + 1)

Sightstone stinks like no tomorrow though. Generic stat increase, half of which are wasted because no support wants all 4, and the wards are just pure bait. You never, ever want to have 4 wards placed at the same time, even if no one else wards at all you're still wasting active vision time by losing the spare wards you would've had if you only placed 1 or 2, AND it makes you that much more vulnerable to sweeper and control wards. Speaking of which, placing 2 control wards is a literal waste of 75g, first because you also lose the spare, and second because it's exceedingly rare that you would actually need to protect 2 pockets of vision at the same time after the laning phase, at which point you can't have sightstone anyway, and again, supposedly you have 4 teammates available to cover these additional spots. Sightstone is bait in its purest form, it's never worth your already limited gold.

Those additional pockets of vision helps a lot in the lower elos where people can't imagine what could lurk in the dark spots of the map. And that waste of 75g is more of an investment for a potential >300g. Protect the ward(s) from the greedy support/jungler and you score a free 300g. Those stats you mentioned are very useful, that small amount of armor & mag res boosts your survivability by a lot in the current meta where it's very common to encounter lethality and magpen. The earlier you can get the sightstone the more use you will get from it.

I play on euw and it feels like the community really fucking hates mage supports atm, the slightest mistake or if any kills go to you I get flamed/pinged to shit. I’m in a constant back and forth of having my chat turned on/off. Is this a trend anyone else is noticing (mid to high elo)? Or is it just a coincidence

i'm in gold/plat elo and each game,people ask me "aurelion sup?" (when they are polite or dont complain) even if i have a positive impact on most of games, i see the same thing as you, i have to "prove" my pick is good, and somethimes i'm flamed (but my trash adc inter is safe) when i pick velkoz its ok, some adc wants to pick for you, but the toxics one are rare for me (they will always exist someone to complain you didnt pick what they wanted/needed ^^')

It's like that in NA too. ADCs are spoiled brats who don't want to think, because it's obvious to everyone engage champs with hooks are more simple and rewarding with minimal effort

xd my premades hate my ap sups but they know im still better than 70% of random sups so they take it. But yeah if my premades had a random sup who goes ap they get flamed hard but tbh its understandable with certain adc like Draven ect. Some matchups and combos simply do better with a peeler it makes adc life lot easier easier and decreases the points of failure. cause at the end of they day they are the adc and u are a sup not a mid lane or a back up. so many comps in low elo get fucked cause they end up having no tanks or good cc cause sup decided he wants to be an apc instead of a sup. and tbh a lot of sup mages fall of after 30 min sooo harrd compared to adc so its understandable y they need the kills.

And I had quite a few ADCs(mostly dravens) that would freak out at me, and at the slightest hint of things going wrong they would sprint it down
