The Green Bay Packers open as -2.5 favorites over the Vikings in week 4. The line suggests that sportsbooks believe that Jordan Love will return from a 2-game absence and start against the Vikings at Lambeau Field on Sunday. The over/under is 43.5 points combined, which also suggests that Jordan Love will return. Jordan Love practiced in a limited capacity all last week but was inactive for Sunday’s win over the Tennessee Titans. He will be over 3 weeks post-injury by Kickoff on Sunday. Malik Willis started each of the last 2 weeks, including a dominant 30-14 win in Tennessee last Sunday. Unless the line moves, this week will be the 1st time the Green Bay Packers are betting favorites this season. They were 2-point underdogs in week 1 in Brazil against the Philadelphia Eagles, 2.5-point underdogs in week 2 against the Indianapolis Colts at Lambeau Field, and 3.0-point underdogs in week 3 at the Tennessee Titans. Matt Lafluer’s team has won back-to-back games as underdogs with Malik Willis under center. More information on Jordan Love’s playing status might not be known until later in the week. The Green Bay Packers will release their initial injury report on Wednesday tomorrow, and a final injury report with status designations on Friday. It’s possible that Jordan Love will be limited all week and questionable to play come Friday. Go Pack Go 💚💚💛💛

Love is playing against the Vikings. It’s not questionable. Love started rusty and intimidated against the Eagles. He’ll be even more rusty on Sunday. Before the regular season started no one would have guessed that Love would go 0-2 and Willis would go 2-0.

Even if all of this is true I choose to live in the reality where Vegas was just that confident in Willis while being equally skeptical of the Vikings lol.

Back in the day the pack use to, find qbs who were gems, develop them and trade for picks. Glad to see the front office doing their diligence.

People ruling out guys after only 3 starts is why you see so many bad teams stay bad

Tennessee has been a shitshow since McNair left. The Titans can't develop QB like the Houston Oilers did. They had WARREN MOON and replaced him with STEVE MCNAIR. The curse of Bud Adams lives on!

3 starts as a rookie at that, also while missing key starters.

The hurdle by Christian Watson was crazy if he was able to jump over that guy and get a touchdown that will be the highlight reel of the season probably

He definitely has hops. But he ended up falling down and landing on his back pretty hard. Would be disappointing if he got hurt that way.

Just ponder this for a few minutes! The Packer offense currently puts a lot of pressure and stress on opposing defenses, and this is without Jordan Love. Once Jordan Love returns and we have Malik Willis feeling very comfortable running the Packer offense, and this is where the intriguing part comes in, we basically have a 2 headed monster on the offensive side of the ball. I really hope Matt LaFleur considers playing both Jordan and Malik in games putting even more pressure and stress on the opposing defenses. With the ability to run a wing T, RPO, Motion, Jet Sweep, and Shotgun, and depending on who's on the field calling the plays, I don't know how any defense would be able to react, causing even more confusion with defensive play calling, and even forcing the defenses to change players depending on what formations are being run. This could really be exciting, especially with the very creative mind of Matt devising the offensive schemes!!

It’s so unrealistic to be switching qbs in and out as much as you are describing. You will only be able to do it so many times before there are mistakes. Higher level defenses wouldn’t need to change personnel as much as you think. The packers offense is great but imo it isn’t as much of a threat as you make it seem and I’m a packers fan.

You generally hamper at least one of the QBs by splitting reps and series, it's not that hard for NFL defenses to adapt and Willis is not a Newton or Vick level runner to begin with. Just be happy he is a serviceable backup for as long as we hold onto him and let Love cook.

Ooo…I’m not going to swap my QB1 for QB2 multiple times in a game when QB1 is the highest paid in the league. I’m certain that teams that have done this do not do well. It’s been tried before and it doesn’t work 🤷🏽

Before we get on our high horse, keep in mind we dumped two of our own young quarterbacks after the pre-season. It's not like every QB going through GB turns to gold.
@davidbrown7357Сағат бұрын
If they don't, that should tell you a lot about the qb's selected who don't cut it. Not the coaching but the players who fall shorts of what was coached.

@tommicheletti11964 сағат бұрын
We don't know what malik willis can become as a qb.If Jordan Love was forced to play in his 1st or 2nd year, he would've been out of the nfl ,wouldn't have the chance to start after 3rd year in the league, after a half season, seems to be a good an ascending player, correct? Many drafted qbs are thrown into fire immediately and end up considered busts and of league. Love after last season season seems to be good, but if thrown into the fire ? In rookie year? Would've been long and forgotten? Darnold, playing well now? Yes,why ? The man finally found a front line with protection. Malik willis played well because of coaching. Love ,remember Love at kc when arod had covid? He was completely incappable, after 3rd year he developed. Many qbs are drafted and thrown immediately into the fire and fail and out the nfl after 1,2 years,they have to develop after 1,2 years

They probably be out of the NFL because their contract is up and they be wanting more money than they're worth to re-sign
@Erik_Ice_Fang2 сағат бұрын
I don't think GB would have dropped Love. Still had LaFleur, a good O-line, a running game, and those solid position coaches. But yeah, it would have been a much rougher start and no massive contract
