I don't understand the hate on FL. It's a very good DAW especially for new producers or producers on a budget. All the complaints about Abelton workflow being better than FL boils down to producers inability to devise a workflow themselves. It's just a dumb as the Mac vs Windows debate. The reality is that a good producer can use any DAW and make great music. Stop focusing on stuff like software and start focusing on just making good music using the tools you can afford and are comfortable using.

FL child daw.... look to cartoon grapfix to make kid producer happy like children show.. FL cartoon world with rainbow unlike ableton with dark corridorr and raelistic OTT .. FL like playhouse. FL playor run from abltn fear of dark world and realism

Thank you so much, man. I am fond of Knock2's music. For some reason, there has been one song that has been bugging me to listen to over and over again. ACRAZE's "Do It To It." Just something about the bass in it that is catchy. Also, Dashstar is a freakin banger.

yeah, grace notes are awesome. i find myself usually writing them when i plan to make the synth monophonic with legato, so that there little grace notes make it slide. but ofc it can also happen that you end up liking the polyphonic version more, that is true to the experience that you have when playing the piano, where you hear that it's 2 distinct notes. i'd say that it's also comparable to the sensation of autotune, where the vocals sometimes slide over a lot of distinct notes too fast to make out which notes they are, but slow enough to notice they are notes.

awesome job Ash! This video hit home for me. I made production youtube videos in the past and stopped to focus on my music and my career, and along the way I've become lost in making sure everything is so professional and polished that it took away the fun of making music, that spark; and closing myself off from the community. Your commentary along with the tips and analyzation of tracks and artists like Knock inspires me to find that spark again. Thanks for the love and effort you put into these videos. Really good tips and knowledge to be found here on your channel. Excited to see where we'll all end up this year and the music to be shared!

Hey Ash, not very sure if you’re gonna read this at some point, but imma write it anyway. Tbh this is the first video of yours that I’m watching and I wanted to tell you that those final words that you said at the end, really touched my heart man, I mean, I’m just staring to produce my own music, but I always end up deleting everything because of my lack of confidence, but thanks to those words specifically, I found more than a message, but also a great punch of motivation. Right now i’m not sure which road my music will take me, but at some point in the future i’ll be probably remembering with love this years were i took the decision to express myself trough music, so anyways, thank you so much and great video!
