Jason has always been my favourite Robin, partly due to the tragedy of his character. He's 'Batman's Greatest Failure' both before and after his resurrection, the one Batman failed to save. It's like he's a permanent stain on the Batman story and I kinda love that.

Something that many people don't know is that Robin means much more to Dick than to the others (yes, even more than Tim, although he is probably the one who best fulfilled the mantle). Robin for others was Batman's sidekick, the hero who brought light and fought in Gotham. Robin for dick was much more sentimental. The name "robin" was a nickname that his mother used when he was little and that she gave it to him because he was born on the first day of spring, the colors are those of his leotard when he was a flying grayson and the reason why he began to be a hero was not because Bruce offered it to him, but because he wanted justice for his parents at all costs. The worst thing is that he never wanted that mantle to be a legacy, but it was. And in many comics they make it clear how he feels an incredible responsibility for all the other Robins (Robin War, after Jason's death, when Tim takes the mantle) and I understand it perfectly, after all, in he's eyes they are just children.

Tim Drake is my favorite because he gave Robin something more than just being a side kick. He showed us how smart someone can be, and one of my favorite Tim Drake stories has Ras Al Ghul call him detective as he had once called Bruce. I think if any of the Robins were to become Batman, it would be Tim Drake.

I don't think tim can be a good batman tbh (bftc or other futures are proof of that). Tim is precisely the best Robin because that was a role almost designated solely for his growth as a character, because even when there was a time where he was Red Robin the writers always make him Robin again. (sad, because they don't give it a good development and in recent years he almost doesn't exist)

Jason's story is my favorite. I don't know why, but tragic stories can be some of the best ones, and seeing Batman grow and change for one of the first times in his comics as a result of Jason's death was fascinating to see. And then, even better, Jason came back to haunt him, leading to even more character growth, and finally, Jason was redeemed and brought back into the Bat Family, and it's an awesome story arc that spans decades

Batman on every Robin: 1) Dick Grayson: My " SON ". The kind of kind hearted, brilliant and skilled young man, EVERY father would have been proud to call son! Jason Todd: A strong and talented individual with a rough childhood, raised on the streets. He wasn't the one who failled me. I was the one who did! Instead of proper psychological help and support, i actually gave him the means of unleashing his aggression by training him as Robin. No matter how many times we have come to blows, i still love him as a son and i'll always wait for my prodigal son to come back home for good. Tim Drake: My adopted son and heir to Wayne Enterprises. I owe a lot of things to Tim! He came to me after Jason's brutal death at the hands of The Joker. I had lost my way and he made me realize, reminded me of how much Batman needs a Robin! He reminded me of the importance of " Boy Wonder " in my life. My ray of light, hope and color in that dark and gloomy life style i embraced so many years ago. Despite the fact that i rejected him and turned him away, he worked hard to prove himself to me and become the second greatest Robin after Dick. A TRUE successor to the mantle. Tim wants to follow in my footsteps and become the World's Greatest Detective and from what he has shown me so far, one day he WILL succeed. Damian Wayne: My biological, illegitimate son of controversial conception. A dark reflection of what could have i turned into had i been not raised by the loving and caring Waynes and their trusted butler who ended up becoming the man i consider my TRUE father. Damian was born, raised and indocrinated by the " forbidden fruit " of my personal life, the daughter of one of my greatest villains, Ra's Al Ghul. She along with the most skilled assassins of her father's evil organization, trained the boy to be a cold blooded, lethal killing machine. He was created to infiltrate, kill, replace me and bring Armageddon not just to Gotham but to the entire world. Rehabilitating him had been anything but easy and he tried my patience more times than i can count but alas, not only he has made considerable progress ever since but he has also earned the right to call himself my son and stand by my side. I'm not letting my guard down though since there's still darkness within him, one that could be ( but hopefully not be ) exploited by my supernatural enemies like " Simon Hurt ", leader of the infernal Black Glove organization. His entitled, cocky and arrogant attitude, as well as his short temper don't help either.

Alfred loved him but Bruce had to carve his own path without the guidance. Dick had Bruce who didn't just love him but also was able to fully understand dick's trauma and give his pain direction. Bruce protected him in and out of field when he needed it. Alfred loved Bruce and he was that last ray of light in his life and a last connection to his parents.

I want to starts out by saying that this was a great video and it does a really good job of summarizing the robins. I will however say that I have a slight problem with the way you’ve portrayed Jason Todd. I see a lot of people calling him “the violent one” when as Robin he really wasn’t. Sure he had some famous moments, like nearly killing two-face, and it was heavily implied that he pushed a r*pist off a balcony, but in general he was really just a sweet kid who wanted to help. He wasn’t nearly as reckless as people say either, the reason he was killed by the joker was because his biological mother tricked him, he didn’t just run after joker without a plan. As Red Hood? Definitely the most violent. As Robin? He’ll always be the “Robin gives me magic!” kid.

Love this video, I feel that not many fans really understand what each of Batman's Robins/Sons represent and what they say about his character. My personal favorite will always be Damian Wayne❤. It's easy to dislike him based on his history, but he's a character that we actively see evolve over the years, while struggling between light and darkness, same as Batman.

@@JugComicsPlus - **Let's see..** Nightwing = the big brother and leader of the group, usually the one who keeps a "cool head" and the more seasoned of the brothers (kinda like Leonardo from the turtles) Red hood = the most physically strongest robin and endured much torture (similarly enough like Raphael. Both are the hot headed rage of the bunch, and Raph became the SHREDDER at one point in the classic comics) Red Robin = level headed and more almost like the techi of the group. (Like Donatello, both have the same weapon they use in combat = the BO STAFF masters) Robin = Now this where the difference comes in. Damian and Mikey's personalities differ from each other due to Damian being a hot head like Jason and killing obviously. However while they are both different in personality wise, generally they are the youngest of the brothers and Damian does play videogames and learning to chill here and there. (Both him and Mikey actually finally fought alittle in Batman vs Ninja turtles movie inside the batcave... BEST CROSS OVER MOVIE EVERRR. And comic too) Though if you want them both to be having similar/ruthless personality each other, there's the original first MIRAGE 1984 comic ninja turtles that are colored black and white. All 4 turtles actually do kill the bad guys and Mikey grins in it as well.

That's not so easy to decide, 'cause every Robin is the best, but ... Dick Grayson is/was the - for me at least - one and only Robin ever who would be forever at Batmans side. My second best Robin was Jason Todd and his brutal death through the Joker and the betrayal from his own biological mother was so sad that this story had me in tears. Time went by and then there was Tim and the storys with Batman and Robin were as bright as these with Dick and so Tim was my third best Robin. Damian - Batmans biological son - is not bad as Robin, but to be the best like Dick, Jason and Tim he has still some more training to do in my opinion.

Dick > Tim > Jason > Damian Batman trusts Dick the most. He even considered Dick a better batman to some degree. Then Tim Drake comes second. Then comes Jason because although the dude is brutal, he has no filter so it’s easy to read and is surprisingly honest in his actions. Bruce would trust his own son Damian the least because he is so much like Bruce but was raised by one of his worst enemies. Damian still has the killer instinct of a true assassin and it never goes away.

Wasn't Grayson fired from being Robin? Also, I thought that Bruce adopted Jason to raise as his son, and had no intention or desire for him to be Robin. That's why he's Bruce's greatest failure. He failed to protect his son. He went thru a custody battle in order for Jason to be his first adopted child; Richard was a ward until being adopted as an adult. This is why Jason was devastated that Bruce didn't avenge him by killing Joker. They have the most interesting, most complicated relationship. Even as adults, Jason is consistently the one to question and defy Bruce. He thinks the No Kill Rule is a facade, because Bruce doesn't take into account all the people he has left brain damaged, comatose, paralyzed. Also not considering how their families were affected. How many lives has Bruce truly taken? DC is in the Nightwing business now, having boosted him to their top hero. I wish there was a writer to fully develop Jason's character. There's so much that can be done with him, other than using him to make Nightwing look good.

If I recall correctly, even Batman himself stated a couple of times how much he respects him and should be more like Dick. Dick as nightwing is my favourite superhero in DC closely followed by batman, due to how early dick was written in the silver/golden age i never gravitated toward his robin as much where as I like tim drake the most as robin. Though the dick grayson and damien wayne dynamic is almost always perfect. Still despise his death in the injustice run, f×ck that deadwing can suck my nutts and damien can stay robin or f×ck off i like dick graysons nightwing more 😂
