oh my god i'm SO glad i was randomly recommended this video... unfortunately the only available place i have to burn candles has a slight draft which is a constant source of annoyance for me (constantly dealing with tunnelling and soot) BUT I NEVER KNOW THESE EXISTED?!? i'm buying one asap!

Hi Rekeema, I have been using hurricane lamps for a long time! I have a small collection actually, I used to buy them at Princess House when they used to sell them. I do treasure them greatly because they are all discontinued. I have more of a traditional style so they go well with my decorations🕯 🕯 🌀 Love your videos! I’m learning a lot!

Love this! As an avid candle burner, I definitely need to get some of those amber hurricanes. Candle light glowing in an amber vessel on a fall/winter night is just perfection! I'll hit up some thrift stores and see if I can find some good vintage ones... otherwise, I'll have to hit up Amazon and CB. Thanks for the great content!

Do hurricanes effect the scent throw?

I’ve always had a good experience with scent throw when using one, it helps the throw. But like he said the candle burns faster.

If you have the correct size for your candle, yes. You don’t want to put a smaller candle in a large hurricane or I find the throw gets lost in the glass. Example: I have an 11.5” tall and about 7” wide tapered hurricane, If you put a 12oz candle in it (that normally has a great throw ie: Harlem, CT, etc it gets lost but if You put in a smaller one closer to the candle size (width) it boosts it.

You can always use kitchen thongs with the rubberized ends to lower your candles into the 🌀. Amber hurricane is no longer available 😢!
