It can be really dangerous if someone comes in with unknown chemicals they use to clean, while the establishment uses something completely different. The mix of two completely different cleaning mixes can be really harmful to peoples' health. Also, a random person cleaning in an establishment would send big red flags for me, since no one knows what they're actually doing in there.

As somebody who is studying in a College Advanced Scientific field, those petri dishes where 100% fake. The ones she gives and holds at the hotel shouldnt be BLUE and liquid. Looks like toilet cleaner imo. Also those 'results' look very generic and only have about two or three types of colonies present (ghost cloudy shapes, white shapes, yellow). Also other fellow science nerds please correct me if I'm wrong, but those ''results" dont seem correct at all. I mean she swabbed the items with a q-tip which should have been safely transported in a sterile container to avoid contamination (but i doubt it). Then medium (gel substance that allows bacteria to grow inside the petri dish) should be poured while hot into the petri, then dried to solidify into a gel form. THEN the swab must be scraped onto the gel lightly to transfer the bacteria swab to the gel to inhibit growth. It then takes days to get results like those. Maybe a week? You would be able to see the colonies appear where she did the streaking pattern like it shows but some look BAD, and that one is probably overgrown (left for longer than a week per say) or having improper storing, extra exposure to oxygen, moisture, water, ect. Plus it looks like the streaking methods were done incorrectly because to me it seems like they penetrated the gel (most likely agar), which means they pushed the swab too hard on the delicate gel. The streaking techniques are VERY important because they are done to identify the different colonies present as well as the number of colonies (how many blobs can i count) that are present, in order to count how many cells there are. But seems to me they probably did this to just show its dirty (no duh) and not actually show accurate results. I know its just a tiktoker, but the science in me needed to clear up to people that, imo as a student who still has lots to learn, this is not how its supposed to be. Plus its hella fun to actually make. TRY IT! Sorry for the nerd rant. JUST AHHHHH but please if any other science nerds think I misspoke or want to vent about it too, PLEASE DO! I also love learning more so I would love to be corrected :) Also i do know spreading techniques are available but that requires spreads not a q-tip
