What I don’t understand for Mark is that he got severed after tragically losing his wife to help deal with the pain. During work hours he isn’t aware of the pain, but that is only 8 hours. He still has to go home & remember the pain for 16 hours. Wouldn’t the severing be more helpful if it were reverse?

The motivation is explained further in season 1, when Devon says something like "Mark tried to go back to work after her death, but it was just a disaster." He was so distraught that he couldn't perform his (or any) job. Severing fixed that. Severing the other way would result in him completely forgetting everything in his life, which I don't think was his motivation. He just needed to hold down a job while he takes the necessary time to heal.

No, this question also baffles me as well because Devon met a woman at the birthing camp who got severed from the pain and memory of giving birth. She didn’t remember the whole experience or know who Devon was when they met in the park by chance after! So either Mark is a failed severance or this is a continuity issue. How is it that one person can sever the memory of an event with the procedure and then another also still remember it? Mark would likely wonder where his wife is unless they told him, thus the partial failure of the chip!

The very Thing Mark got severed for has now become a problem in his “innies” life. Now if thats not cruel i dont know what is. Lumon are wicked when it comes to pursuing their goals for Kier

Cold Harbor- 1.Severance is unreversable and now it is proven (Petey). It is dangerous so don't try it. 2. It is about Gemma- she doesn't remember Mark so he shouldn't try to get with her. I think that Lumon tried to kill her (specifically Milchick). Don't know why. Maybe they are making experiments like cloning. The girl from season 2 might be Gemma's clone.

@@francescaa8331 yeah, it's perpetual winter, frozen water... Mark has his fishtank... In the first episode, during the no food dinner, they've got glasses of water in front of them... The Lumon logo is an ellipse, maybe like an eye with a tear in it? First mark outie scene, he's crying...

Kier is frozen, if they can bring back gemma via the “numbers” as she was dead and frozen then they think they can do the same with kier and of course millions of others who die and can get severed back to life. At the moment gemma is a “deadie” only alive 8 hours a day. If they can complete her life cycle to 24 hours a day then BINGO. Lumon and Kier become the “Gods” they so desperately seek to become. Oh and endless contracts worth Trillions.

The numbers are sorting all the ladies of the world into the ultimate rating system of how hot they are. The folders are for hotties, notties, fatties, barries and of course red heads get their own category....if I was rich this might be something I would consider doing which is why I'm totally correct. How you then get rid of the crazies, narcissists, etc I'm not sure about though. Season 3?

The twist is that Milchick is the number one chad. The setup was there though. We all watched his dancing skills for instance.
