@19sept766 жыл бұрын
Ok Luckyshot, What county do you think is better? For many Americans life is what you make it. It is not perfect but if you can handle the BS (as with all countries) aim to look after yourself , try to stay healthy, stay off harmful products such as alcohol tobacco and drugs. Keep on the straight and narrow Life should not be too bad..Don't blame the country for your own failings.
@19sept766 жыл бұрын
Yep I think you have a good point there. Some people think that life is in your own hands. Luck counts for a lot. I feel the crimes this man committed he deserved what he got. I have no sympathy for him. It depends what you mean by socialism you apparently have a good health service as we do in the UK unlike America. The so called socialists in the Us are only concerned with PC and legalizing drugs. That is why they can't get a health service.

@lesliecone62325 жыл бұрын
I had to stop at Two Tony's for a bit to let the sadness of your story rise in me to the point of allowing myself to cry. Life has a way of delivering us 'the extremes' to be able to recalibrate our perceptions in life and transition from the desires of the material (relative) world to the 'oneness' (Absolute) of helping others through unconditional acts of love. You signed quite a deal in this lifetime. Very much a chosen angel. Please don't pay attention to people who take issue with your breathing and your dry mouth, it might be they never had an experience so horrible as to (re)create a physiological response when talking about it or even when thinking about it. Some might consider themselves lucky, while others might consider them unawakened. Please don't ever stop telling your story Shaun.

I wonder if the breathing issues he suffered in jail will now affect him for the rest of his life? I mean what kind of violence he may have suffered physically to be the way he is now. I don't know the cruel details of what he went through only by the snippets of content I hear in this video. And speaking to people is nerve-wracking at the best of times. I just got to watch this talk today. Came across his story a month ago via UniLad when watching docus on the rave scene in the UK. His story was suggested. Didn't realize until recently he has his own podcasts. Now I understand his podcasts better knowing his history. And it takes guts to admit to wrongdoing and to try and protect others.

+Eli Cantwell LMFAO! Wrong! Many factors come into play besides the Ecstasy itself. Y'all need to get off that high MDMA horse and know that shits bad whether it's "pure" or not.
@elicantwell6 жыл бұрын
Borat Sagdiyev It’s not immediately deadly if pure. I’m not saying it won’t effect you in the long run, but by that point it’s very much that users responsibility to refrain from unhealthy use of the drug.
@boratsagdiyev8106 жыл бұрын
+Eli Cantwell Very true, I genuinely feel like people downplay the dangers of M way too much. Especially on the MDMA subreddit, they'll find a thousand reasons to justify how it can't harm you if you do this, that, then this, then that. Spacing, proper dosage whatever it is. Well, if you gotta take all them precautions it can't be so safe can it?

I think what scares me the most about this post, is not this man's horrific ordeal, of which I believe very few of us could have survived - but the fact that 5.3 thousand people have complained about him having a dry mouth while feeling the story. (look at the number in Kieran McDonnell's comment below) The fact that so many people have chosen to focus on such a petty thing when the subject of the talk is so serious and so moving, well it says so much about the terrible state of our society today. Congratulations and thank you Mr Atwood for sharing your amazing and inspiring story.

Because it's in some of the countries were the language is not English you will find the best prison systems. We actually had a prisoner that the US wanted expedited from Norway to the US. Norway said no, because their prisons are inhumane. So he served his sentence here instead.
@boynotgenius6 жыл бұрын
Helen All powerful countries have strict prisons this is to set an example to our people. I don’t agree with it, but it’s true.
@HelenEk76 жыл бұрын
If you live in the US it does't seem to set an example at all, as you have an extremely high rate of re-evictions. Is it around 80% now? Our less strict prisons works much better, as our re-eviction rate is only 20%.. (Norway)
@krenled6 жыл бұрын
Helen E I don't know how different Norway's prison system is to Germany's, but generally I'd say in both countries it's more about getting the inmates back into society. In the US however, you get taught to fear for your well-being more and more i guess.
