This happened when my parents were engaged. One day, my grandfather showed up at my mom’s place w a teenager. “She’s a relative from out of town. Do you mind if she’s staying with you for a few days? But don’t tell my son about this.” My mom was confused but sure. Then everything exploded: My grandfather confessed to his family that he was married when he met my grandmother. It was an arranged marriage and unrecorded (happened just before the War of Independence), and he was not happy about it. So when he left his hometown to join the Army, he kept the marriage a secret. Esp since he later met my grandmother The teenager who stayed at my mother’s place was his child from this secret marriage Things get really dramatic with my grandmother tried to commit suicide etc. it’s mind-boggling that my mother went on to marry my father after all of that

Story 16 is just tragic. How freaking sad a world war destroys a man, mans wife passes, man has nothing but anger and beats his child to the point of unimaginable damage to his brain. What the actual hell.

Story seven I have a similar story. I don't know much but will say what I do. Mums side of the family is hateful of people but this story is about their racism. My cousin dated a guy he was a African. They were engaged and had a kid. My aunty dislikes him because of skin. So got the poor guy deported. Fed lies to her daughter till she spread the lies. 15 years later she's married to an islander. My mums family have aboriginal in it and they are racist to their own kind cause they are white but the islander was fine. The baby at 15 asked his mum why he's so dark and who is his real dad. Cause it wasn't the islander. Yeah he's got coloured skin and so does his siblings but he's dark dark. His grandma dislikes him. So mum admits that yeah he has a different dad and she doesn't know who he is. She lied that she was In an abusive relationship with bio dad. She didn't know his real name because he lied about that. They were highschool sweet hearts and he's in her year book. There's photos of him I My photo album. He was innocent and this poor kid has no idea about his dad or he's African just the stories I mean lies. I hope he breaks from the family's racism. My generation is learning and becoming better

Story 25 yeah my cousins did similar things and lied about me and my sibling all the time to deflect from them and save their ass ....all the while me and my sibling were looked at as the troubled kids. One cousin went to jail and they both were drug addicts. My aunt would believe anything my cousins told her and that's why they ended up like they did.

My mother had 7 children only 2 of us have the same father because my mother let the landlord take advantage of her in lieu of paying the rent. Turns out she was friends with his wife and how we were able to live in one of their many properties. When they were found out, He sold his properties then he and his family moved to Michigan. This is all I know my mother never told us his name where he lived or anything that would enable us to find or communicate with him. She hated me because she said I was just like him. I got what I know from one of her other so-called friends. And she wouldn't tell me who he was or where in Michigan they lived not even the city. She told me this much because she was mad at my mother. She said I should stop looking because he was dead. And his family hated my mother, my brother, and I. When I confronted my mother with what I knew she broke ties with this woman and we never saw her again. I was 12

She didn't "let him take advantage", either they had an affair or he abused her, which seems the case

It’s still not confirmed. We have no way of knowing but my family suspects that my great grandma was raped by my great grandpa and got pregnant and that’s why they got married. They never talked about how they met and they were civil. My grandpa was their only child and she was always kinda quiet. She never planned to marry after her first love died in the war. I really hope it’s not the case but that’s what we all believe really happened.
